Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 8

I’m doing my best to catch up, so I’ll probably be posting one episode of this show every day.

  • I hope this episode gets even better than the previous one.
  • It looks like the new girl is moving into the signal house soon.
  • I wonder who she will go for.
  • Wow, Im Han Gyeol said that he is no longer curious about Park Ji Hyun and also complemented Min Jae.
  • I can see that Seo Min Jae is really into him, but I don’t think he’s is super invested yet. All the same, they have time to grow and know each other better.
  • Why are all the housemates in beige or cream clothes? Did they code before coming on camera?
  • Oh, I didn’t know that Ga Heun was going on a date with Kang Yeol. I am slightly excited to see how this turns out.
  • So far, their conversation is flowing well enough like casual friends, but I can tell that Ga Heun’s heart isn’t there, and that’s okay.
  • Lmao Kang Yeol said he came to the signal house to be around the girls, not guys. I just vibe with his straightforward personality.
  • Are they about to play the guys like they did the ladies when Kim Kang Yeol first arrived? They just received a text message telling them to welcome the fourth female housemate.
  • I guess she is coming straight to the house, and the guys have to prepare a small event for her.
  • LMAO, these men are adorable. The way they all put on the face mask and took a selfie before laying down to chill was too cute.
  • I can’t deal with them right now.πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
  • And here comes the random cat on the roof shots again. Lol
  • The girls are finally outside spending some alone time, and I love how observant Ga Heun is of everyone in the house.
  • Ga Heun and Min Jae are expressing how they deal with not getting the attention of the person they like.
  • Basically, they either give them space or take action. Then if the response is not favourable, don’t beat yourself too much about it. Let go, sit back and watch things play out naturally.
  • Finally, the new lady – Cheon An Na, is here.img_8511_original
  • Kim Kang Yeol is a clown. He’s telling Cheon An Na that he was also shy when he first arrived. All the guys stared at him funny because Kang Yeol was very comfortable on his first day. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • The girls are finally back. Now let’s see how this goes.
  • Cheon An Na is 27 years old, and she works as a personal assistant.
  • I don’t really understand the set up for the upcoming date, but I think the girls chose a movie and who they want to see it with?
  • Now the guys have to pick one of the movies? Anyways, let me continue because I’ll figure it out as I watch.
  • So the panel has to predict which two guys each lady chose for her date and what movie was theirs. Here are their guesses –

– Park Ji Hyun πŸ‘‰πŸΌ ‘The Notebook’ to Cheon In Woo and Kim Kang Yeol.

– Cheon An Na πŸ‘‰πŸΌ ‘About Time’ to Jun Eui Dong and Kim Kang Yeol.

– The panel was equally divided on which of the two remaining movies belonged to Seo Min Jae or Lee Ga Heun.

– They also guessed that both Lee Ga Huen and Seo Min Jae chose Cheon In Woo and Im Han Gyeol.

  • Now here are the actual results –  Screenshot (88)Screenshot (91)Screenshot (94)Screenshot (95)
  • The panel guessed right, and I am so happy that someone finally noticed my dear Eui Dong.
  • Now we get to see one of the dates. I personally want to see Cheon An Na and Eui Dong first, but I also want them to have enough screen time, so maybe they should wait till the next episode.
  • Of course, I had a feeling. The first date is Cheon An Na and Eui Dong.
  • They seem very comfortable with each other, and Eui Dong is proactive.
  • I think I finally found my ship for this season. I am excited about Jun Eui Dong and Cheon An Na, fingers-crossed, I hope it works out.

Overall this episode was not too bad. The ending date made me happy, and I can’t wait to see the continuation tomorrow. As always, here is a link to the English subbed version of this program: Heart Signal (Korean Version) on Viki

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 7

Alright, I really do not know how the love lines are going to play out at this point but let’s just continue –

  • At this point, I feel like I am watching a Korean drama that focuses only on the main couple, and shows the side characters once in a while.
  • It’s frustrating that the tempo of the season has been very stagnant. Therefore I am not too intrigued to continue.
  • In the previous episode, Park Ji Hyun asked Cheon In Woo to drive her to work, but Im Han Gyeol just asked In Woo to let him drive her instead.
  • I personally think that he should have asked Ji Hyun first before making impromptu interruption to her plans.
  • I don’t foresee this carpool change ending well because she intended to spend more time with Cheon In Woo.
  • Oh well, she rejected the change. I kind of saw it coming.
  • I feel like Im Han Gyeol does not really have a chance with her because she’s already too invested in Cheon In Woo. I kind of feel sad about it tho.
  • Finally, Seo Min Jae is getting some screen time, and she’s with the person she likes, Im Han Gyeol.
  • They both look stylish in their long coats. Screenshot (84)
  • Sorry I could not get a very clear screenshot.
  • Another thing I want to point out is that I’m not too sure if the non-popular housemates are not proactive or catchy enough for the producers because the editing and time allocation on this show is quite crappy.
  • I can’t seem to get into the vibe of this season at all. I’m literally lost.
  • Lol Kim Kang Yeol is so odd, the way he asked Park Ji Hyun out in front of everyone was kind of funny.
  • Does Cheon In Woo feel threatened because Kim Kang Yeol asked Park Ji Hyun out on a date?
  • Boy!!!! you better make up your damn mind.πŸ˜’
  • Oh, we’re getting to see more Im Han Gyeol and Seo Min Jae. Nice.
  • I love that their matching black coats and I want one.
  • Korea has a lot of unique restaurants. I love their set up and interior designs. Their food also looks delicious.
  • Lee Ga Heun is such a lovely person. She actually gave Seo Min Jae some advice on her to get closer to Im Han Gyeol.
  • I love how the conversation is flowing between Han Gyeol and Min Jae. They are just talking about random things, and there’s no heavy, awkward energy.
  • Now it is time for Kim Kang Yeol and Park Ji Hyun’s date.
  • I’m surprised that Ji Hyun is actually carrying a conversation without being too reserved, shy or awkward. She has gotten better. Good job, girl.
  • Jun Eui Dong is always third-wheeling. My poor baby.
  • Cheon In Woo made it too obvious that he was sad and uneasy because Park Ji Hyun was out on a date with someone else.
  • Lee Ga Heun, my dear girl. She seems done with his ‘situationship.’
  • It’s interesting to see how everyone is airing out their feelings without being straightforward. At the same time, they all understand what each person is saying.
  • Alright time for the love-line predictions, and just like the previous episode, I don’t have any guesses.
  • Here’s the final result – Screenshot (85)

– Cheon In Woo and Kim Kang Yeol both sent text messages to Park Ji Hyun, but only Kang Hyeol got a text back.

– Im Han Gyeol and Seo Min Jae texted each other.

– LMAO, this one killed me. Lee Ga Heun sent a text to Jun Eui Dong. I knew she was over In Woo’s messπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I LOVE HER.

– Oh, finally, everyone wants to move on from focusing on just one girl. Jun Eui Dong sent a text message to Seo Min Jae.

  • I’m glad that this show has finally displayed a slight change in tempo, but I’ll keep watching to see how everything wraps up.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 6

Alright, it’s been a while, but at least now, almost all the episodes are out. Continuing from where I left off, it is time to see how awkward the first meeting between the new guy and the girls is going to be –

  • I feel like the panellists are slighting too focused on Park Ji Hyun. They don’t analyze the actions of the other ladies as much.
  • A good example was when Kim Kang Yeaol cross-checked with the waiter about the fried rice, they quickly assumed that he did so because it was Ji Hyun’s order. However, I bet the guy was simply making sure they got all their orders correct.
  • I don’t think Kim Kang Yeol has shown interest in any of the girls yet.
  • Oooh, the other guys just arrived. This is about to get more awkward.
  • Cheon In Woo’s face of disbelief while walking towards the table is killing meπŸ˜‚. Mans is really in shock.
  • Kim Kang Yeol is 26 years old. He is into branding business, like clothes and eyeglasses. So basically, his department should be luxury fashion, right?img_0002
  • They all have exciting jobs.
  • Alright, they’re back in the Signal House. Now let’s see how the dynamics change.
  • I love that Kim Kang Yeol doesn’t stress with all the minor decisions. He readily said whoever wakes up first can cook.
  • I know It would have taken much longer if left to the other housemates to decide.
  • I love that Kang Yeol adapted to the house quickly. Even the other guys are amazed.
  • I’m really into his casual and outgoing personality, but at the same time, I hope he doesn’t overstep personal space.
  • How can Cheon In Woo and Park Ji Hyun be on a date without saying a word to each other for more than three minutes? They’re not even eating yet, so what’s up with all the awkward silence?Screenshot (80)
  • I can’t deal with them, and I’m over this ‘situationship.’
  • When she asked who among the housemates he felt most awkward with? I already knew the answer would be her. This is not something entirely negative, but it has to be worked on.
  • Okay, at least Park Ji Hyun is finally speaking up. She admits that she was upset when In Woo took Lee Ga Heun out for coffee even though she asked him first.
  • I genuinely applaud her effort and hope she continues to speak up.
  • Currently, I don’t support any of the ships. All I want is for everyone to have a shot at who they like before letting go if need be.
  • From what I’m seeing, Cheon In Woo seems more open when he’s with Lee Ga Heun, but honestly, you never know with this kind of shows.Screenshot (81)
  • Lee Ga Heun is a full-on flirting queen. Outside of all the situationship, I love her.
  • Okay, it is time for the love-line predictions.
  • I don’t have any guesses this time around because I didn’t see much interaction between most housemates.
  • Texting Results – Screenshot (75)

– Park Ji Hyun and Lee Ga Heun both sent text messages to Cheon In Woo, but only Ga Heun received a text back.

– Seo Min Jae sent a text to Im Han Gyeol.

– Im Han Gyeol, Jun Eui Dong and Kim Kang Yeol all sent text messages to Park Ji Hyun, but of course, no replies.

Honestly, I thought by now that I would be used to the momentum of this season, but it really lacks in many aspects. I will reserve all my comments for the final episode because I want to see if things get better.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 5

In the previous episode, we got to see the housemates go on blind dates, and they didn’t provide a preview, so I feel they might bring in one of the remaining two members in this one.

Let’s dive in –

  • Lmao, why are they all staring at Im Han Gyeol while he makes coffee?
  • Lee Ga Heun is interesting. The way she came in waving and said, “morning.”πŸ˜„
  • Yes, I see you… kitty on the roof.
  • There’s always a cat on the roof in every episode. It’s hilarious.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • They have to go out to do laundry. Doesn’t the signal house have a washer and dryer?
  • Wow, Cheon In Woo is actually complimenting and talking about Lee Ga Heun?
  • Finally, he’s taking notice of her.
  • Thank You, Seo Min Jae, for helping In Woo clear his confusion about Ga Heun’s feelings. I love that they are talking and spending time casually just as friends.Screenshot (72)
  • Their vibe together is so chill. I do appreciate the less awkward and tense moments.
  • The cafes in Korea are beautiful.
  • I have plans to open a cafe when I finish school, and the ones in this show are giving me major inspiration.
  • Awww, Cheon In Woo just admitted that Lee Ga Heun had a significant impact on him during the date.
  • So he can no longer be overly proactive towards Park Ji Hyun.
  • I wonder why Seo Min Jae is wearing a wig, and it looks like she’s still going for Im Han Gyeol.
  • Nice job, In Woo. Once they got back to the signal house, he knew to give Min Jae some private time with Im Han Gyeol.
  • Weirdly, they haven’t shown Park Ji Hyun yet, but at least we get to see some new interactions.
  • Oh, I spoke too soon. Park Ji Hyun has arrived. Why did the mood become odd once she stepped in?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  •  Yep, Ji Hyun can sense that In Woo and Ga Heun have gotten closer. She is definitely nervous about this new development.
  • This is a whole Kdrama love triangle, people. I foresee DRAMA!!!!
  • I’m curious to see if Cheon In Woo completely switches to Lee Ga Heun because right now, he seems confused.
  • Lol poor Min Jae, she’s so nervous cooking alone with Im Han Gyeol.
  • Min Jae finally took the initiative to ask Im Han Gyeol out. Good for you girl, I hope it works out.
  • The girls are really stepping out this season, and I am living for their braveness and energy. πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ
  • Now all I need is for Park Ji Hyun to start voicing her feelings instead of giggling all the time to avoid tense conversations.
  • Cheon In Woo even tried to find out why she was looking down, but she was so closed off. Girl!!! I ain’t asking you to be a straight shooter like Lee Ga Heun, but at least open up a little.
  • Why do I feel like she is more comfortable around Jun Eui Dong than the other two guys?
  • She actually talks to him and carries the conversation along. Screenshot (73)
  • They are kind of cute together, so I’m hoping that Ji Hyun hasn’t friend-zoned him.
  • It looks like In Woo is ready to make his move at Ga Heun. He actually waited outside just to ask her out to dinner. 😏😏😏Screenshot (74)
  • Honestly, Lee Ga Heun is a major girl crush. The way she shoots words when their least expected is superb.
  • She is also a master flirt, and I aim to be like her… A WHOLE QUEEN.πŸ‘‘
  • Cheon In Woo is getting all flustered around her. I like that he’s opening up to her.
  • YESSS!!! Finally, the fourth guy is coming in, and I hope he shakes things up.
  • Alright, it is time to guess the love connections.
  • Here are my guesses –

– Cheon In Woo and Lee Ga Heun will text each other.

– Jun Eui Dong and Park Ji Hyun will text each other.

– Seo Min Jae will text Im Han Gyeol, and Im Han Gyeol will text Park Ji Hyun.

  • The panel members also arrived at the same connections.
  • Now let’s see the final results –Screenshot (75)

– Seo Min Jae sent a text to Im Han Gyeol.

– Lee Ga Heun and Cheon In Woo sent text messages to each other.

– Jun Eui Dong and Im Han Gyeon both texted Park Ji Hyun, but only Eui Dong got a text back from her.

  • Hurray, I got all the connections right.
  • I think the ladies got a secret message to meet up with the fourth guy.
  • Oh damn, the girls lied so that they could sneak out and meet the fourth guy. Now the guys also got a text asking them to meet up with the same person. Which means, they will all see each other there.
  • LMAO, I’m dying.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • The music for the new guy’s entry is dramatic. He better live up to the hype.
  • His name is Kim Kang Yeol, and I wonder which lady will catch his attention???
  • Alright, that is it for this episode.

This was a well-balanced episode, and I really enjoyed the new interactions. I’m excited to see what this new guy brings to the table.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Verison): My Thoughts on Episode 4

Okay, I am back with episode 4, so let’s get right into it –

  • I hope we get to see more of Seo Min Jae and Lee Ga Heun in this episode.
  • I’m excited to see who ends up with who on each date.
  • At least the product placement in the Korean version is a bit more subtle compared to that of China.
  • Everyone looks beautiful and prepared for this blind date.
  • I find it interesting that they always have a cat on the roof in every episode.πŸ˜‚
  • YESSS!!!! Seo Min Jae picked Jun Eui Dong’s card. I have been waiting to get more interactions with these two.
  • Min Jae is so happy about her choice.
  • They are awkward, and Eui Dong seems disappointed. Screenshot (65)
  • Well boy, you better get with the program and have a proper and friendly conversation with the lady beside you. πŸ—£YOU HEAR ME.
  • Lmao, the production crew, must have asked him to bandage his tattoos because they’re tired of blurring it out when editing.πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
  • Seo Min Jae is trying to communicate, but he’s not on her pace yet.
  • Ahhhh!!!! the scene where Jun Eui Dong asked Seo Min Jae if she wanted him to make kimchi for her made me go doki doki even though it shouldn’t have. LOL –
  • The food looks so delicious.
  • I love that Seo Min Jae is easy going and Jun Eui Dong is starting to talk more.
  • The temple they visited is very peaceful and beautiful. Screenshot (66)
  • Now onto Lee Ga Heun’s date.Screenshot (67)
  • All the guys seem disappointed at first that they didn’t get Park Ji Hyun. So the dates are starting out awkward.
  • Lee Ga Heun is direct and bold. She made Cheon In Woo get all smiley and shy.
  • Most of the guys are actually compatible with the other ladies, but I guess the heart wants what the heart wants.
  • The ladies on this season are outgoing, but the guys seem very careful with what they say and do.
  • Wow, Lee Ga Heun is fierceπŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ –
  • She doesn’t hold back or subtly throw hints. She simply goes all out with full force.
  • Alright unto the next date with Park Ji Hyun and Im Han Gyeol.
  • What’s up with all the random cat shots???
  • I’m really enjoying this episode because everyone got equal screen time. Finally!!!
  • Honestly, there are way too many flashbacks in this season, and the editing is quite sloppy.
  • The cafe that Ji Hyun and Han Gyeol visited is gorgeous. Screenshot (69)Screenshot (70)
  • Im Han Gyeol is really a classy kind of guy, and I love his choice of spots for a first date.
  • Personally, I would want a balanced mix of all three dates.
  • Alright, I don’t have much to say about Park Ji Hyun and Im Han Gyeol’s date, so let’s check out the texting results – Screenshot (71)

– YESSS!!! Lee Ga Heun texted Cheon In Woo, and he also sent a text back.

– Im Han Gyeol and Park Ji Hyun texted each other as well.

– YESS!!!πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ Seo Min Jae and Jun Eui Dong sent text messages to each other.

  • Finally, things are switching up a bit, and it will get more heated up once the remaining housemates arrive.
  • Also, I feel that Park Ji Hyun texted Im Han Gyeol out of courtesy and not really because she’s interested in him.

Overall, this was a better episode compared to previous ones. We got equal screen time, and I got to see Lee Ga Heun and Seo Min Jae shine with their outgoing personalities. Also, we now have new possibilities for love lines. Therefore, I am now super excited to see what comes next.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 3

Hello, hello😊

I haven’t been watching this show or Youth With You 2 because I needed a break. Sometimes when I’m juggling too much on here plus my regular daily activities, it gets a bit stressful, and I don’t want to bring that energy to my blog. I want this blog to be a lighthearted space for both my readers and myself. So once I notice that my workload is affecting my mood, I put some things aside for a while.

Youth with You 2 has gone very far ahead, and I’m not sure if I can catch up, but we’ll see about that. All the same, I am officially back to watching Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version). This week, I plan to get through episodes three to seven.

Now let the marathon begin –

  • I think I just saw the hand-mic during the panel studio scene. They probably mistakenly moved the camera outside the required frame.
  • Jun Eui Dong is so adorable and precious.
  • Are they really going to blur out his tattoos the entire season?
  • I hope they share the screentime equally in this episode.
  • So Park Ji Hyun, Jun Eui Dong and Im Han Gyeol are going to do groceries together. I feel like Ji Hyun is started to pay more attention to Eui Dong, but I won’t read too much into it.
  • I’m really missing the Chinese panel’s vibe. The panel members were hilarious and very insightful with their commentaries.
  • I appreciate that Jun Eui Dong isn’t being forceful with getting Park Ji Hyun’s attention. He gives her space but also tries to have casual conversations with her.
  • Park Ji Hyun admits to purposely not choosing Cheon In Woo’s gift in the last episode because she didn’t want her feelings to be too obvious. At the same time, she also regrets her decision.
  • I can understand how she felt at that point. She must have been scared to put her feelings out openly, so she simply avoided the situation.
  • Alright, I’m halfway through this episode, and Seo Min Jae hasn’t been shown. Also, Lee Ga Heun barely had 2 – 4 minutes of screen time.
  • I love Park Ji Hyun, but the producers need to do better. Honestly, the other two ladies haven’t had the opportunity to show their personality to the viewers.
  • Plus, they are also wasting too much time replaying the same scenes whenever one a housemate talks about who they like.
  • I feel since we’ve already seen those parts, they could just let them talk about their feelings and move on to the next person.
  • Jun Eui Dong is such an organizer, and he’s very creative. I’m a pretty organized person myself; hence I admire people who manage their space effectively.
  • Also, what Eui Dong wrote in his diary was so beautiful and insightful – “The way it blows in the wind was like a shy little girl. I will be that wind.” I am a poem lover, so I felt those words.
  • I love that he’s getting more screen time in this episode.
  • P.O just said something very insightful about Jun Eui Dong’s character – Just continue being yourself and be sincere because whoever you like does take notice. If it’s meant to be, it will be.
  • Finally, after 50 minutes, I get to see the other ladies. Thank you.
  • I love that Lee Ga Heun is forward and confident. She got all shy when Cheon In Woo complimented her looks. So cute.πŸ˜„
  • Jun Eui Dong’s screen time in this episode makes me feel that the producers are setting him up for something big.
  • So it’s time to predict the love lines. Here are my predictions –

– Cheon In Woo, Jun Eui Dong and Im Han Gyeol will all text Park Ji Hyun.

– Park Ji Hyun and Lee Ga Heun will both text Cheon In Woo.

– Seo Min Jae will text Jun Eui Dong.

  • Now let’s see if I guessed all right.
  • Final Results –Screenshot (62)

– As expected, Cheon In Woo, Im Han Gyeol and Jun Eui Dong all sent text messages to Park Ji Hyun.

– Another correct prediction. Park Ji Hyun sent a text message to Cheon In Woo.

– I was wrong about Lee Ga Heun. She sent a text message to Im Han Gyeol.

– YESSS!! I guessed right. Seo Min Jae sent a text message to Jun Eui Dong.

  • Lee Ga Heun noticed the signs during dinner and decided not to waste her text. LMAO.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • She knows her worth and kept her pride by not texting either Cheon In Woo or Jun Eui Dong. Good job, girl.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  • I like that Lee Ga Heun and Seo Min Jae are not putting their heads in only one basket because it’s way too early in the game for all that.
  • Honestly, I really don’t mind that all the guys are currently focused on one person since this always happens in Heart Signal, but I am super excited for things to switch up once the remaining two housemates come in.
  • Ooooh, it looks like the next episode is going to be for the first dates. This is perfect because now everyone can have some one-on-one time.
  • The guys all wrote a date card, and I guess the girl will have to randomly pick.
  • LOL, they’re playing rock, paper, scissors to decide who chooses a card first.
  • I’m excited to see how the dates turn out.Screenshot (63)

Overall the one thing I have an issue with is the division of screen time. Lee Ga Heun and Seo Min Jae deserve more scenes. They are equally as interesting to me, and I want to get to know them better. Yes, all the men are focused on Park Ji Hyun, but these two ladies should still be allowed to shoot their shots.

We currently have six housemates, but yet we get to see only three each episode. Then how will things become when all eight housemates are in the Signal House??? The production team needs to do better at allocating scene time and editing the episodes.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 2

I am back with my thoughts for episode two of this program, so let’s get right into it.

  • Oh, Yoon Shi Yoon cut his hair.
  • They changed the seating positions for a few panel members.
  • I was hoping they would show the text messages in this episode, but they seem to be skipping that aspect entirely.
  • Also, we will be finding out the occupation and age of each housemate in this episode.
  • The tension between Im Han Gyeol and Cheon In Woo is so real, but I’m glad that they are talking to each other more in this episode.
  • Both Im Han Gyeol and Cheon In Woo were waiting for Park Ji Hyun the next morning. Im Han Gyeol even made her breakfast, but she ended up catching a ride with Cheon In Woo.
  • It looks like Im Han Gyeol lost this round again.
  • Cheon In Woo goes head on for what he wants while Im Han Gyeol stays laid back.
  • I know there’s more drama to come, so I am quite intrigued to see how this ongoing triangle develops.
  • I love Seo Min Jae’s vibe. She is easygoing, and I want to know what kind of job she does.
  • She seems like the kind of girl that gets along more easily with guys compared to ladies. I’m saying this based on her conversation with her co-workers.
  • Awww Seo Min Jae felt left out because she didn’t get a text. Don’t worry, girl, these boys are all hung up on one lady for now, but there is more time, and many changes will occur.
  • Apparently, her job has to do with Engineering.
  • Im Han Gyeol is a sweet and handsome guy, but he needs to be more proactive or even switch lanes to another person.
  •  I love that everyone’s friends are giving out great advice.
  • Oooh, it looks like Im Han Gyeol is about to get his head in the game for real. He went to the bakery that Park Ji Hyun wanted to visit. He’s probably going to buy her something.
  • Although Lee Ga Heun and Im Han Gyeol are not into each other, I think they have good chemistry.
  • I prefer it when the atmosphere is light between the housemates. The tension that comes from love line triangles kills me, but at the same time, I understand the essence of the show. There has to be drama.
  • Yess… Im Han Gyeol is finally speaking up. Hurray!!, shoot your shot boy.
  • I’m not really rooting for anyone at this moment, but I want everyone to have a fair chance at who they like.
  • I noticed that Park Ji Hyun is more relaxed around Im Han Gyeol.
  • But this could be for various reasons. Maybe Park Ji Hyun seems more relaxed because she’s not into him like that, or perhaps she just has more chemistry with him compared to Cheon In Woo. Who knows?
  • I’m really excited to see how things play out.
  • I’m watching this on Viki, and almost everyone in the comment section is saying that Cheon In Woo is a self-centred jerk, but I don’t necessarily see him that way.
  • It’s definitely annoying for the other guy involved, and I sometimes think he should take a slower pace in his pursuit, but Cheon In Woo is simply someone that goes for what he wants no matter what. Those types of people are naturally very competitive and fast.
  • P.O is a big Jun Eui Dong fan. It’s so cute how his routing for him.
  • So the housemates were asked to prepare a Christmas present before coming into the Signal House, and now each person gets to pick one randomly.
  • Cheon In Woo picked Seo Min Jae’s present.
  • Seo Min Jae works for a car company as a mechanic, and she’s 27 years old.
  • She has a cool job. It’s nice to see a woman represented in such an odd sector.
  • Park Ji Hyun chose Im Han Gyeol’s gift. It’s a really beautiful emerald green tea-cup and saucer.
  • I want one.😍
  • Im Han Gyeol is an F&B (food/beverage) Brand Director, and he’s 31 years old. Ahh, no wonder he knew about wines.
  • Jun Eui Dong is so soft-spoken and calm, I really love his vibe. He picked Lee Ga Heun’s gift.
  • Lee Ga Heun is a vet school student, and she’s 24 years old. She is so adorable.
  • Lee Ga Heun picked Cheon In Woo’s present. It’s a polaroid camera, and I want one also.πŸ˜₯
  • Oh, Cheon In Woo used to work for Facebook as an engineer. Currently, he works as an engineer in a fintech company, and he’s 31 years old. He also lived in the US for ten years.
  • Heart Signal always gets well-accomplished individuals for their show.
  • Im Han Gyeol picked Park Ji Hyun’s present.
  • Park Ji Hyun is a senior university student, and she’s 24 years old. She’s currently an intern, and she plans to pursue medicine in graduate school.
  • Interesting. Cheon In Woo and Im Han Gyeol are the same age, and they both like Park Ji Hyun. Lee Ga Heun and Park Ji Hyun are both students of the same age, and they like Cheon In Woo.
  • What an intriguing love square.🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣
  • Seo Min Jae picked Jun Eui Dong’s present. He prepared a book that he owned since high school. Basically, he gifted out a personal belonging. That’s different and meaningful. I really want to know his line of work.
  • Jun Eui Dong is a sculptor that makes replicas of extinct animals. Most of his works are displayed at museums, and he is 28 years old.
  • Jun Eui Dong is growing to be my favourite housemate. I like that he is attentive, gentle, and so cute. I simply love his warm personality.
  • I love the jobs they’ve mentioned so far. They’re all fresh, and I noticed that all the housemates are somehow connected to the science field.
  • Texting Results For This Episode –Screenshot (59)

– Cheon In Woo and Im Han Gyeol both sent text messages to Park Ji Hyun.

– Lee Ga Heun and Park Ji Hyun both sent text messages to Cheon In Woo.

– Seo Min Jae sent a text message to Im Han Gyeol.

– Yesss!!!… I had a strong feeling, and I was rightπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰. Jun Eui Dong sent a text to Seo Min Jae.

  • Okay, it seems they are not going to be showing us the text messages this season. That’s fine.

I like how things are progressing so far, and every housemate is fascinating to watch, but I feel they need to do a better job of allocating screentime to all housemates equally. I am looking forward to what the next episode brings. I think there’s a big twist coming for the current love lines, so I’m excited.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 1

Hello everyone, I hope you all are in good health. Please continue to stay safe.

Today I started the third season of Heart Signal, the Korean version, and I decided to write a review/recap for the first episode.

Heart Signal is a Korean variety show where six to eight strangers live together in the same house for a month. The house is known as the Signal House. The primary purpose is to discover if these six to eight individuals can find love and even build a relationship while living together. The show also incorporates panellists with various experiences in dating and romance. The people on the panel are placed in a separate studio where they can observe, comment and even attempt to guess the potential love lines among the housemates. There is also a Chinese version of this program.

Before I begin, let’s have a formal introduction of the panellist and cast members for this season. There are six individuals on the panel and eight housemates for this season.

(Pardon the picture quality, I wanted to stick with screenshots).

Panel Members:

– Han Hye-jinScreenshot (34)

– P.OScreenshot (37)

– Lee Sang MinScreenshot (32)

– Kim Ea NaScreenshot (36)

Signal House Cast Members:

– Cheon In WooScreenshot (43)

– Jun Eui DongScreenshot (45)

– Lee Ga HeunScreenshot (46)

– Im Han GyeolScreenshot (48)

– Seo Min JaeScreenshot (52)

– Park Ji HyunScreenshot (53)

(Please note – this is a real-time review/recap. This means I typing down my exact thoughts while watching this program.)

My Thoughts on Episode 1:

  • I want the panel for this season to be as funny as the ones on the second season of the Chinese version, but I also want them to have their own unique dynamic.
  • I love the panel’s studio. It has an antique vibe.
  • So, as usual, when the panel members make the right predictions, they get a signal gemstone.Screenshot (33)
  • I find it so cute that they used different animals to represent each housemate’s secret Instagram account –Screenshot (42)
  • Alright, the first housemate is in. His name is Cheon In Woo. He is giving me a classy and calm vibe for now.
  • Oooh, the next guy is spotting some tattoos. I honestly don’t like that they blurred out his tattoos but whatever.
  • His name is Jun Eui Dong. He seems to be the reserved type, and he’s also really gentle. There’s definitely more to him.
  • This season’s house has an art gallery-inspired design. I really like it.Screenshot (44)
  • The first arrivals are always so awkward.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • Okay, the next housemate is a lady. Lee Ga Heun, she is so pretty. I feel like she’s an outgoing type.
  • The awkward silence is killing me. Try starting some small conversations, guys.
  • Next roommate is Im Han Gyeol. He is good looking, and he seems like a quiet type, but we’ll see.
  • We need one more guy to complete this set and three more girls to get the ball rolling.
  • Ga Heun seems really interested in Han Gyeol. She noticed his perfume and also tried striking a conversation with him. Is sis already shooting her shot?😏😏😏
  • The second girl to join the Signal house is Seo Min Jae. She seems like the type that could quickly get along with everyone.
  • Ooo, another lady… Her name is Park Ji Hyun, and she has such a pretty smile. One of those smiles that automatically makes you smile back at her. Wow.😍😍😍
  • Oops, I forgot. They usually start out with six housemates, and then the other two come in a bit later.
  • Moving on… they need to prepare a Christmas dinner party, and five of them are not good at cooking. Thankfully Park Ji Hyun is there to save them.
  • Their dining room and the set is so beautiful – Screenshot (55)
  • I love the interior design for this house. It is clean, classic but still modern enough, and so aesthetically pleasing.
  • The kitchen is quite tight tho. I prefer kitchens with more open space because I want to be able to move around without hitting someone or something.
  • Oooh, the tension is here. Aahhh!!!, I don’t think I’m ready.
  • Cheon In Woo and Im Han Gyeol seem to be competing for the attention of Park Ji Hyun.
  • So far, Cheon In Woo is winning.
  • Lee Ga Heun also seems interested in Cheon In Woo, but his eyes are not on her.
  • Things are still very awkward and silent among the housemates, which is reasonable since it’s the first episode.
  • Right now, I think I can predict the love line of four housemates, but I am still blank on Seo Min Jae and Jun Eui Dong.
  • Here are my predictions –

– Cheon In Woo and Park Ji Hyun will send text messages to each other.

– Im Han Gyeol will send a text message to Park Ji Hyun.

– Lee Ga Heun will send a text message to Cheon In Woo.

  • When making my predictions for the first episode, I try not to over-analyze every moment because I have learnt from past experiences that everyone tends to swim towards one housemate of each gender at first.
  • Still, who knows? They might prove me wrong.
  • Let’s see the panel’s predictions –

– Cheon In Woo, Im Han Gyeol and Jun Eui Dong will all send text messages to Park Ji Hyun. Damn, if that’s actually the case, then what about the other girls?😒😒😒

– Seo Min Jae will send a text message to Im Han Gyeol. I could see why.

– Lee Ga Heun and Park Ji Hyun will both send text messages to Cheon In Woo.

  • Alright, now let’s see the final results – Screenshot (57)

– Cheon In Woo and Park Ji Hyun sent text messages to each other as expected.

– The judges were right about Jun Eui Dong. He sent a text to Park Ji Hyun.

– Seo Min Jae sent a text to Im Han Gyeol.

– Lee Ga Heun sent a text to Cheon In Woo as predicted.

– The last man standing, Im Han Gyeol. He sent a text to Lee Ga Heun… I didn’t see that coming, but it’s a nice twist.

  • Hmmm, why didn’t they show their text messages? That’s weird. Unless they plan to show it in the next episode.
  • I have a feeling that Im Han Gyeol chose Lee Ga Heun because he was angry about the situation that happened in the kitchen. Cheon In Woo kept interrupting his time with Park Ji Hyun.
  • Personally, I think he is still very interested in Park Ji Hyun. Plus, from the previews for episode two, he’s coming on stronger.

Alright, guys. That is it for this post. I know it’s quite long, but I had to introduce everyone properly. The next nine recaps/reviews for this program will be shorter. I think I might watch episode two tomorrow.
