My Pictorial|Poster Faves: A Yao Chen and Zhong Lili Exclusive

Happy Valentines Day 💓💞💓. I wish you all love throughout 2021 and the years to come.

(Please Note: none of these images are mine. I got them from official magazine websites and social media sites.)

First on today’s post is Yao Chen as she graces the cover of ELLE China – February 2021 Issue. Hands down, this is one of my favourite editorial cover shoots. I love the aura + the outfits, accessories, and every pose completely enhanced Yao Chen’s natural beauty to a whole other level –

Following up is another statement maker, Zhong Lili, in a TRENDMO pictorial. I adore the serene nature and outfit colours for this shoot. Whoever came up with the theme is quite brilliant. Seeing the contrast from the snow-white images to the ones with fire is truly beautiful & captivating. Plus, Zhong Lili is stunning –

True Beauty Star – Moon Ga Young Poses For A Marie Claire & ELLE Pictorial

I remember reading the True Beauty webtoon, but I stopped midway. It wasn’t due to the story or any particular thing I disliked; I just got busy. When I heard about the live-action, I had my eyes out to see the chosen cast and how the story would play out as a drama production. Unfortunately, after seeing many clips on the internet, I don’t think I’ll watch the live-action or resume reading the webtoon. Here are my two main reasons –

  1. I no longer enjoy watching dramas with overdramatized love triangles. Stories that revolve around the intensity of a love triangle stress me out, + they’re predictable. I know who the female lead ends up with, so why all the back and forth???
  2. Dramas in high school settings don’t excite me anymore. The storyline has to be very witty or thrilling for me to sit down and watch. Regrettably, even though I love the main actors, True Beauty doesn’t fall into that spectacular category for me.

With all that out of the way, let’s move on to this post’s primary purpose. During the airing period of True Beauty, Moon Ga Young sat for some magazine interviews & photoshoots. Marie Claire and ELLE Korea happen to have my favourite photos, so let’s enjoy the visual feast.

(Please Note: none of these images are mine. I got them from official magazine websites and social media sites.)

First off are the photos from Marie Claire. I adore the outfits for this shoot. They are serving office vibes, but with a bougie flare + the bags they paired with each piece is such a statement –

Following up is the ELLE Korea photoshoot. I love how they styled her hair, and this one has a more colourful palette in comparison to the Marie Claire pictorial –

Song Of The Week – “For the gone” by CODE KNUST, CHOI JUNG HOON & Simon Dominic

Hello, I hope you all are having a great week. I finally have some time to spare, and I’m happy😊 because I miss working on my blog😢.

As you can tell from this post’s title, my recommended song for this week is “For the gone”. It is a collaborative track from ELLE Korea, and CODE KNUST + the music video was written and directed by actor Park Jung MinCHOI JUNG HOON of JANNABI and Simon Dominic also lent their voices to this project, while Lee Je HoonLee Sung Kyung and Park Jung Min starred in the cinematic music video.

“For the gone” marked my first time hearing anything from CHOI JUNG HOON or his indie rock band – JANNABI. His vocal tone gives off a very homely vibe. People sometimes say that a singer’s voice feels like a warm hug, and that’s precisely what CHOI JUNG HOON’s singing does for me. I also love the instrumental for this song, most especially the guitar & keyboard sections. It’s such a chill and beautiful energy, so kudos to CODE KNUST for the sweet production👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Another plus to this project is the captivating rap verse served by Simon Dominic. I truly enjoyed his flow on this lovely slow-tempo track.

Concerning the lyrics, I believe it’s generally about longing for a past time and the feelings that made you feel great then. It can also relate to how everyone in the world misses their everyday lives before COVID-19 happened. Now, if any of the features I complimented above rocks your boat, then this song for you😊. Also, feel free to check out the live performance at the Melon Music Awards –

My Pictorial|Poster Faves: BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA

Hello everyone, 😊

How are you all doing? I have been quite busy recently. I had to take a few days off to focus on essential issues. Due to my absence, I couldn’t give the usual song recommendations for the past three weeks. I should be back with that starting next week. Recently I have been gravitating towards blues, jazz, and afro songs; my upcoming weekly picks will be unique.

Alright, for this post, I’m sharing some of my favourite editorial photos from the ladies of BLACKPINK. They will be releasing their first full album titled THE ALBUM on October 2nd. Hopefully, it comes through with good songs.

First off is BLACKPINK’s photoshoot from their interview with ELLE Magazine (U.S.A). They all look gorgeous in this set of photos.

Up next – Jisoo for DAZED Korea’s 155th edition – 2020 Issue. My favourite aspect of these photos is the colours and stunning makeup looks.

To round up – Rosé for W Korea. The elegance and beauty of these photos are remarkable to see. She is rocking this purple-platinum hair to the core.

That’s all for this post. I am really looking forward to BLACKPINK’s first full album. Finally, YG Entertainment is doing right by them.
