ATEEZ – ZERO: FEVER Part. 1: Album Review

On July 29th, ATEEZ came back with a mini-album called ZERO: Fever Part. 1. It has seven songs including the double title tracks “INCEPTION” and “THANXX”Β

I am super hyped for this album, so let’s dive in. If anyone needs a profile on this group, use this link πŸ‘‰πŸΌΒ ATEEZ – TREASURE EPILOGUE: Action To Answer: Album Review.

(Please note – This is a real-time review, meaning I am typing down my exact thoughts while listening to each song.)

Reaction to INCEPTION MV:

  • Alright, it is time to fangirl into neverland. I discovered ATEEZ during their last comeback, and I have been obsessed since then.
  • My biases are Seonghwa and Hongjoong. However, San and Wooyoung have been crashing my heart with this era’s teaser photos.🀩🀩🀩
  • My boys are looking good, and I AM HAPPY TO BE AN ATINY!!!!
  • Okay, let’s start the music video.
  • Already, I love the sweet vocal intro and Yeosang with blonde hair is gorgeous.
  • Thankfully, KQ Entertainment always provides English subs.
  • Look at Seonghwa!!! πŸ—£πŸ—£He looks amazing.
  • Every member came correct in this era. I love their hair colours and lengths.
  • Yep, I know that I’m biased.πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‚πŸ€£
  • The visuals for the music video are perfect, most notably the lighting for each scene.
  • The vocalists are killing things, and Hongjoong came in smoothly with his rap section. That blue hair!!!
  • The beat on this song goes hard, and I am listening to it with headphones.
  • The beginning of the chorus threw me off a bit, but I got into the melody after a few seconds.
  • Awww, Jongho. His voice is so powerful that it surprises me on every ATEEZ song.
  • Okay, this chorus is sick. The way it closes with Seonghwa’s breathy note is beautiful – “Every day & night, I’m gon’ chase you… I’m in love.”Β Β
  • What? I wasn’t expecting an instrumental-only section or dance break this soon. The entire set for this music video is stunning.
  • YESSSS!!! BRING ON THE CHOREOGRAPHYπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌ
  • Yeosang is finally here. I was waiting for your lines, boo. What is that dance move he just did on the floor?
  • Mingi!!! His deep voice was what made me fall in love with ATEEZ during my review of “Answer”
  • This video is a movie experience. So many things are happening, and I just started.
  • My favourite scene is them dancing in water with all those red lights.
  • Wooyoung is disrespectful with those sexy dance moves. Guy, I’m here for the music.πŸ˜’πŸ˜πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
  • Now Seonghwa is following along with all the ab flashing. Boys take it easy, please.
  • Yunho sounds so lovely in this song. Plus the orange hair, WOW.
  • San as always does the most with his facial expressions, and a sister isn’t complaining. I love him for that.
  • The high notes are flawless. These boys brought their A-game for real.
  • Alright, I’m going to replay this video and pay more attention to the music.
  • On the second listen, yes, I genuinely LOVE this song. The chorus is catchy, and the instrumental progression is incredible. The vocals are smooth and soft on my ears. The choreography and visuals are insane.
  • I can’t wait to watch the live performance because these boys brought all the emotions and A+++++ energy to this song.
  • At the beginning of this review, I had my fingers crossed because I wanted a good song. No matter how much I stan them, if this song didn’t suit my taste, I would be upfront about it like always.
  • I’m delighted that ATEEX didn’t disappoint.
  • However, before I dive into the album, I am off to watch some reaction videos on YouTube.😊

Album Review: img_2454Here is the album preview –

  1. Dear Diary: 2016.07.29 –Β Alright, I’m back, and I have been playing “INCEPTION” on repeat all this while. This is just a spoken intro, and the message is beautiful. I love the inclusion of music once the words became hopeful and happy.
  2. FEVER –Β I already love the instrumental for this track, and that smooth vocal run entry gave me life. “FEVER” is about to be a certified BOP. I am always up for some sweet R&B flavour. The chorus is beautiful, and I love the melody so much. Yunho is seriously coming for my throat this era. Hongjoong and Mingi are perfect with their rhythm and flow. The vocal runs and high notes on “FEVER” are ridiculous.
  3. THANXX –Β Oh, intriguing guitar entry on this one. I love that – “ah yah yah yah”Β  in the backgroundβ€”another song with a catchy melody. WAIT, PAUSE, RESET, WHY??? Did Hongjoong have to come in that hard? I wasn’t ready, but my ears are living their best lifeπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌ. No one can stop my groove right now. The drums on this song are so good, and the rappers are going off!!! I can’t wait for the music video to drop. “THANXX” is πŸ”₯. Jongho just blessed me with the most magnificent high note ever.
  4. TO THE BEAT – I feel it in my bones that this is about to be lit. I love the intense claps, and it’s somewhat funny to me – “To the beat, to the beat, move your body to the beat…”Β YE!!! YE!!! Nah fam, I’m over this disrespectπŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈ. Do you all hear that beat drop and those whispers? I didn’t sign up for this, but GO OFF!!! “TO THE BEAT” is my new twerk anthem. Nothing more needs to be said because I AM IN LOVE. My Nigerian side just came out with the YE!! πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. The instrumental on this track is a certified BOP and a half. I think this tops all the other songs for me.
  5. INCEPTION – All four songs so far are amazing. I am in awe of ATEEZ. They are monsters, and I hope that more people start paying attention to them.
  6. Good Lil Boy – This is a bit more chill. I think it’s not all in your face like “THANXX” and “TO THE BEAT”. I love the choral singing style, and the rappers are genuinely on point for this album. The instrumental progression is impressive with how the guitar switches up in tempo for different sections. Oh, the vocals on this are beautiful, and harmonies are coming through also. I have danced so much that I now feel hungry. I’m getting something to eat right after I round up this review.
  7. One Day At A Time –Β Last song already, is it going to be a slow one? Okay, it’s on a chill tempo so far and has that standard pop groove. The vocals are beautiful and so soft. I love the chorus because of the sweet harmonies. “One Day At A Time” is a perfect way to close this album. After all the partying, a sweet relaxing song is necessary. I also love the message of being together and helping each other in everything because life is one day at a time. Good job, boysπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.

Final Thoughts:Β

This album took me on a ride and danced way too hard because every song was such a vibe. ATEEZ DID NOT COME TO PLAY WITH ANYONE IN THIS ERA. So all those who are sleeping on them, need to WAKE UP!!! Don’t be late to the party.

ZERO: Fever Part. 1 came through and served it hot on all six songs. Top on my list is definitelyΒ  “TO THE BEAT”, but overall, the entire record is playlist worthy. Therefore it gets a bulletproof 10/10 from me. I will be waiting for part 2 while enjoying this one on repeat.

Winter/Early Spring Playlist 2020

Hello everyoneπŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—

Recently, I haven’t been posting a lot. I am at that critical point in the semester, where I only have time to study and sleep. That is why this playlist is coming to you guys this late in the season. Winter is almost over, and spring should be here soon. Hence I tried my best to revamp this playlist with a few tracks that could also suit spring. As per usual, I have included short previews for each track.

#. AKMU – How can I love the heartbreak, you’re the one I loveimg_3238 I had to start with AKMU. They are my go-to for this time of the year. They help me feel at peace. “How can I love the heartbreak, you’re the one I love” is one of my favourites from their SAILING album. I listen to this song on my way to school, while studying, and I even use it as my bedtime lullaby. It is that good, so I hope you all love it as well. Also, feel free to check out my album review for SAILING with this link πŸ‘‰πŸΌΒ AKMU – SAILING: Album Review

#. Eric Nam – Hold Meimg_3242 I personally feel that Eric Nam is the perfect selection for spring. His voice gives me the most wonderful tingling sensation ever. “Hold Me” is the kind of song that automatically makes any listener feel loved and cherished. I have written about my love for Eric Nam while covering his content a few times on this blog. So if you need more song suggestions from this amazing artist, simply click on his name tag at the end of this post.

#. DAY6 – I’ll tryimg_3239 This is such a lovely track from DAY6. Try to search up the English lyrics because you need to understand how touching this song is. “I’ll try” always make me feel like I am in a warm embrace with someone special. I think it is very fitting for winter. I have ranted about how good DAY6 is a few times on this blog. Honestly, they never disappoint. If you want to read more DAY6 related content, simply click on their name tag at the end of this post.

#. Solar, Kassy – A song from the pastimg_3244 A charming duet from two incredible ladies. I absolutely adore this song. The harmonies, melody and high notes are beautiful. I think it is a perfect track for spring. So I hope you all enjoy it as well. I also wrote a review for this song that can be accessed with this link πŸ‘‰πŸΌΒ Solar x Kassy – A Song From The Past: Music Review

#TAEYEON – Wineimg_3269 “Wine” is my favourite track from Taeyeon’s Purpose album. The chorus is infectious, and Taeyeon’s voice during that section is pure bliss. I randomly find myself humming the melody. I am glad that I checked out the full album because I would have missed out on this gem. To read my review for Taeyeon’s Purpose album, including the repackaged version, use these links πŸ‘‰πŸΌ TAEYEON – PURPOSE: Album Review

πŸ‘‰πŸΌΒ TAEYEON – PURPOSE: Album Repackage Review

#. Eric Nam – 4AMimg_3242 Yess I included another song from Eric Nam and it also from the same digital single release. I love both songs, so I could not pick one over the other. This track is more upbeat, and I live for the raw vocal runs in this one. The man can sing, and no one can change my opinion. He had a concert in my city recently, but I couldn’t go due to school😭😭😭. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy listening to “4AM”.

#. millic, HAN – Treasure Islandimg_3241 “Treasure Island” is a jam but the full Vida album that contains this track is a complete BOP and A HALF. Millic worked perfection, and everyone that was featured on it nailed their part. A full-blown masterpiece. For some reason, Vida is no longer available on Spotify, but I hope he brings it back because I need my jams intact. Honestly, Korean RnB is on another level.

#. Primary, SUMIN, Qim Isle – woozooimg_3236 Another BOP. Primary is an incredible producer. I discovered this song while reviewing the second part of his PAKTORY EP. To read that review, use this link πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Primary – 3-PAKTORYO2: Music Review. Immediately the song started, I was captivated by SUMIN’s voice. Honestly, she should be a bigger name because the lady can sing. “woozoo” always gets me in some kind of turnt up mood that I can’t even explain in words.

#. Punch – Sometimesimg_3248 This is actually my first song from Punch that isn’t an OST for a Korean drama. I love the chill and carefree vibe this track gives off. Punch has a remarkable voice, so I was determined to check out her personal discography and “Sometimes” is my favourite so far from all her songs I have listed to. To read more content about Punch, simply click her name tag at the end of this post.

#. Vincent Blue – Stupidimg_3240 This is the most intriguing song I have heard in a long while. Indeed, music is a compelling tool. There are various ways artists express themselves, and the effect that their expressions have on another individual is incredible. Vincent Blue’s voice and the way he sang this song continually leaves me in awe. He sounds so elegant, especially when he starts those vocal runs that mimic the instruments. “Stupid” is pure art and also an excellent show of intelligent production.

#. IU – The visitorimg_3268 My love for IU soars higher each day along with my undying adoration for her Love poem album. I already wrote a review for it, so I will try not to rant again. If you still need to read my review, use this link πŸ‘‰πŸΌ IU – LOVE POEM: Album Review. All the songs on this album are equally amazing as expected from IU, but I chose “The visitor” because I feel it suits this season the most.

#. Dean, Crush, Jeff Bernat – What 2 Doimg_3246 Since I decided to spring things up with a few RnB and neo-soul tracks, I couldn’t leave out Dean. “What 2 Do” is one of my first songs from him, and I still destroy the replay button on this song to date. It is so good. Plus Crush and Jeff Bernat also held their fort. These three amazing singers came together and disrespected me most beautifully. I LOVE!!!😍😍😍

#. Tia Ray – Ready For Loveimg_3237 The instrumental on this track is LITπŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯. In fact, the entire 1212 album is a groovy anthem. I am so pleased that I randomly discovered this artist. Her voice and energy are perfect. “Ready For Love” always comes on when I need something upbeat but not too loud. Just perfect enough for body rolling. I sit on my bed and dance like the weird human being I am.πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌ

#. g.o.d – One Candleimg_3261 g.o.d!!!. I love me some first-generation Kpop artists. This song might not fancy some people on the first listen, but I will advise you to give it a second or third try. If you still don’t like it, oh wellπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. We can’t all have the same taste because differences are what make the world interesting. Anyways “One Candle” is one of my favourite classics from g.o.d. The lyrics are beautiful, and the chorus always has me dancing.

#. DAY6 – days gone by
img_3245 Yes, DAY6 appeared again because according to Spotify, they are my most played Kpop group and I ain’t arguing with facts. My closest friend and I live for this song because of the old school disco vibe. I mean, who can resist a good disco jam with such impressive vocals. There is no way you can see me sitting still when “days gone by” comes on. It becomes a party hall, no matter where I amπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

#. Ailee – Reminiscing img_3249 The powerhouse Ailee is here with her soft and impeccable vocal runs that consistently make me wonder how she sings this song live. Honestly, even after watching a live performance, I am still confused. How does she belt that high-speed line with so much ease? All the same, “Reminiscing” is a beautiful track, and it is precisely the kind of song that I gravitate to during the cold season. To read more Ailee related content, click on her name tag at the end of this post.

#. Urban Zakapa – Nearness Is To Loveimg_3259 You all know how I feel about ballads/RnB and Urban Zakapa always nail their tracks. Plus, “Nearness Is To Love” is entirely in English, so I could understand right away. This song is so soothing, and I remember during the first week of discovering it, I couldn’t listen to anything else. The melody was stuck in my head. It is such a beautiful piece, and the vocal quality is to die for.

#. 4Men – Baby Babyimg_3263 This is a song that never fails to get me in my feels. I love it when Spotify recommends new artists to me because I get to try something different every once in a while. I discovered 4Men a few years ago. They are such talented singers and “Baby Baby” is my favourite from them. The vocal prowess they showcase throughout this song is incredible.

#. LEE HI – BREATHE img_3247 This song became so hard to listen to for a long time, but I am back on it now. I love the message of hope and reassurance that no matter what is happening, you are not alone. So it is okay to take a break and breathe. Even from the initial release, it was a very emotional piece because I was in an awful mental space at the time. “BREATHE” definitely means a lot to me. I hope anyone dealing with trials finds some comfort through this song.

#. Juno Su – Fortunately, We Meet Againimg_3258 I have definitely overplayed this soundtrack from the Chinese drama, Ten Years Late. There is something about the chorus section that soothes my soul, and it perfect for this season. I already featured it as my song for the week and on my list of favourite 2019 OSTs, but I still included in this playlist. Whenever I can’t sleep, I either play “Fortunately, We Meet Again” or rain sounds. That is how much I love this song.

#. Urban Zakapa – Wishimg_3255 There are few very popular OSTs from Goblin, but there are some other late releases that I think did not get enough attention. “Wish” by Urban Zakaba is one of those. This song’s progression is intense and captivating. It literally feels like you are soaring on the power of love. I like to pretend like I am singing along with them because it makes me feel invincible.

#. Park Hyo Shin – Goodbyeimg_3252 Hmmm, are there really any words that could describe the amazement that is Park Hyo Shin. The man stuns all the time. I know how good he is, but I still get surprised by each new song. “Goodbye” is a magical piece. It starts out slow, but the vocal prowess that Park Hyo Shin displays from the one minute mark just leaves my mouth hanging wide open, and I ain’t complaining. Yesss…. please bless my ears with your breathtaking pipes.

#. BTOB – Missing Youimg_3260 I could write a whole page full of praise and love for BTOB because they are more than deserving of that. With each new album, they continue to impress both as a group and individually. So if you don’t know them, what are you waiting for???πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜Š Anyways “Missing You” is an excellent song with beautiful vocals and great rap verses. Also, since it is my favourite from Brother Act., it has to be on this playlist.

#. Younha – Dark Clouds I love working on this blog, not just because of my obsession with music and dramas but also because it broadens my horizon. I discover a lot of new things while creating content here. Younha is one of such discoveries. While trying to check out more artists for music review content, I stumbled upon her latest album – UNSTABLE MINDSET, and I was utterly blown away. If you will like to read my review for UNSTABLE MINDSET, use this link πŸ‘‰πŸΌ YOUNHA – UNSTABLE MINDSET: Album Review. “Dark Clouds” is a powerful and heartfelt song. It also happens to be one of my faves, so I decided to include it.

#. Lee Moon Sae – A welcome rainimg_3267 Another song which I listed as one of my favourite OSTs from 2019. “A welcome rain” makes me feel emotions that I shouldn’t be experiencing. Yes, I have gone through some sad things, but the way this song calls out my tears is still not explainable. This is a sad one, but I still love it. Anytime I hear it play, I recall Shin Hye-sun’s scenes from Angel’s Last Mission: Love. So maybe that’s why the tears flow because her performance was too good. Also, bravo to Lee Moon Sae for an emotional delivery of this exquisite piece.

#. Paul Kim – Big Heartimg_3250 Paul Kim is one singer that always calls forth my attention. “Big Heart” was his last release for 2019, and I already wrote a review for it. You can access that post with this link πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Paul Kim – Big Heart: Music Review. Also, for more content, click on his name tag at the end of this post. Paul Kim was on my first Winter Playlist, and I didn’t even know him so well then. Now, a year later, he is one of my favourite Korean solo acts. His voice is precious, and he is still quite young, so just imagine what he could produce with even more experience. I am excited to hear more songs from him.

#. DAY6 – All Aloneimg_3251 I promise that this is my last song from DAY6 on this playlistπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I tried my best to have one artist to one song, but people like Eric Nam and DAY6 could not let a sister be great. I really like “All Alone” because of the stripped-down acoustic style of the song. It puts more attention on their voices, and I love, I MEAN I REALLY LOVE to hear them bless me. Ladies and gentlemen, yes, this is for sure the curtain roll on my DAY6 rants in this post. I hope you enjoyed every section. Moving on…

#. Davichi – Dear. img_3243 Another beautiful set of vocal queens. This song is a chill love and appreciation vibe. Davichi effortlessly nailed each note while still keeping the progression a bit simple. I adore the instrumental for “Dear” because it reminds me of Christmas jingles. Which makes sense since this track was released in December of last year. Anyways, I play Christmas songs throughout the year, so this can be included in this list. I have a review for”Dear” on this blog, it can be accessed with this link πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Davichi – Dear: Music Review

#. ATEEZ – Sunrise
img_3270 ATEEZ is another new discovery, and I have been fangirling over them a lot recently. Currently, I have two stable biases (Park Seonghwa and Kim Hongjoong), but every now and then, I get swayed by other members. After reviewing their most recent album, I went ahead to check out their discography, and “Sunrise” was one of the first songs that caught my attention. I love the message and the heavy drumbeat used for the instrumental. For more ATEEZ content, simply click on their name tag at the end of this post.

#. The Rose – She’s In The Rainimg_3273-1 Finally The Rose comes into the mix. Another one of my favourite K-bands. I really hope they get good results concerning the recent dispute with their management company. “She’s In The Rain” was the first song I heard from this group, and I immediately fell in love. The Dawn album, which contains this song, is also perfect.Β So all I did was choose my number track from it.

Well, I hope you all were at least intrigued by one or two songs. This playlist is available on YouTube and Spotify with these links: πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Youtube Winter 2020

Please like this post and if I introduced you to a new song, let me know in the comment section.

That is all I have for you guys today, take care.πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

My Pictorial|Poster Faves: Visual Kings

I planned not to post anything this weekend because I have to study for an upcoming test. But oh well… here I amπŸ˜‚.

I made one for the ladies, so of course, the guys have to follow suit. Here are the male celebrities that always serve looks no matter the concept or outfit assigned to them.

(Please note: none of the images are mine, I got them from official websites and social media sites.)

img_2778img_2782Deng Lun on the cover of Esquire China January 2020 Issue. I remember watching him for the first time in Because of Meeting You and I instantly fell in love. He is so good looking, and I love the way he talks.

img_2994img_2992img_2993Jeremy Jones Xu for Men’s Health China. Oh, he is healthy, alright🀭🀭🀭. My draw towards him tends to be on and off, depending on the drama or photo. He is definitely doing too much in these photos.🀩🀩

img_2920img_2922Seong Hwa’s teaser images for the latest albums from his group. While reacting to “Answer”, he was the first member that caught my attention. He is so beautiful and also has a lovely voice.

img_1829img_1828This is an older photoshoot of Ji Chang Wook from 1st Look Korea, but I could not resist adding it because he is hot.

img_2643Zhu Yi Long for Dragon TV’s New Year’s Eve celebration. He is one of my favourite Chinese actors, and I cannot wait for him to get a lead role in a very intriguing and romantic series. I have seen him as the lead in one romance show so far, but the storyline was not the best.

img_2407One of the pictures from the set released by Zhang Han’s studio at the end of last year. Orange looks beautiful on him.

img_2880img_2879The swag daddy himself, Jackson Wang, for the 2019 Weibo Awards Ceremony. He always slays in turtle neck shirts. He looks cute, though, with that pouty face in the second image.

img_2861img_2864Lee Min Ho was the actor that introduced me to Korean dramas, so he always has a place in my heart. I am looking forward to his upcoming show with Kim Go Eun.

img_2835img_2834Zhang Binbin for the 2019 China Literature Super IP Gala in Shanghai. For some reason, I have not seen any of his lead role dramas. Anyways he is a good actor and a handsome man to plus.

img_2776img_2889img_2891Han Geng, Kim Jaejoong and Tomohisa Yamashita have been friends for over a decade, and recently, they were the cover stars for COSMOPOLITAN China February Issue. I am very familiar with Yamapi and Jaejoong, but I am just getting to know Han Geng. All the same, they look great.

img_2153This is an older photo of Shawn Duo for COSMOPOLITAN China’s digital issue and his most recent shoot for Jaguar. Another one of my favourite Chinese actors. I absolutely love his smile.img_2892

img_2923img_2921Another ATEEZ member that caught my attention during my reaction. These are also teaser images, and I love Hong Joong’s edgy look.

And last on my list is Ma Tianyu. These are recent photos from a CCTV Little New Year gala recording he attended in Ningbo. I remember seeing him in Ice Fantasy, and I was so starstruck from his beauty.Β img_2896img_2894

ATEEZ – PIRATE KING: Song Of The Week

I recently wrote an album review for ATEEZ’s latest release, and I stated that I was going to check out their discography. So I have listened to a lot of their songs since the beginning of this week, but my most played one is “Pirate King” from their debut album.

Therefore it is my chosen song for this week –

Everything about this song screams, “certified bop.” The instrumental is really amazing, and the chorus goes hard. Most notably, when they sing – “Will you be my friend?… Um OEO.” The first time I heard that part of the song, I lost it. And I still go crazy whenever it comes on.

Also, let us not even start talking about choreography, which was on point from beginning to end. These guys are seriously coming for my wigs with their killer vibes.

Another song I have replayed a lot is “Sunrise” from the TREASURE EP.FIN: All to Action album. It has an inspiring message, which I genuinely appreciate. But “Pirate King” is just that perfect upbeat track to jam out to. Honestly, if you have not listened to any of these two songs I mentioned, go check them out immediately.

ATEEZ – TREASURE EPILOGUE: Action To Answer: Album Review

This is my first time listening to anything from this group, so I am not too sure what to expect. I have heard good reviews about them, so I have my fingers crossed. I know this review is a few days late, but I have been busy, and I really wanted to check this out. img_2711ATEEZ is a South Korean boy group with eight members – Kim Hongjoong, Park Seonghwa, Jeong Yunho, Kang Yeosang, Choi San, Song Mingi, Jung Wooyoung and Choi Jongho. They officially debuted on the 24th of October, 2018 with Treasure EP. 1: All to Zero. On January 6th, they released their fourth mini-album – TREASURE EPILOGUE: Action to Answer. “Answer” is the title track for this comeback. So they are a relatively new group.

Okay, it is time to see what they have to offer.

(Please note – this is a real-time review, meaning I am typing down my exact thoughts while listening to each song.)

Reaction to Official MV/Title Track:

  • The first few seconds of the instrumental sounds promising.
  • Plus, the deep humming, in the beginning, is giving me good vibes.
  • This group definitely has exceptional singers.
  • Love how the rap came in and little background vocal runs going on during that section.
  • Their voices are so beautiful.
  • Who has that deep voice? I NEED HIS NAME.
  • The chorus is groovy and catchy. I love how crunchy the instrumental sounds during that section.
  • The music video also has gorgeous visuals, and I like that all members got a fair share of individual screen time.
  • They are all handsome men, by the way. I always appreciate a visual feast.
  • The scene where they have the hats on is pure art.
  • And I like that the bridge before the end took a different turn. It spiced things up and retained any attention till the end.
  • I want to see a live performance because the energy from the music video alone is incredible.
  • Okay, what does this last scene mean? Did they just leave me with a cliff hanger?
  • I am going to watch the video again and then check out a live performance.
  • I love everything about this song. The energy is astounding.
  • The instrumental fits perfectly well with the concept of this track. It gives off that feeling of marching forward while acknowledging every accomplishment on the way.
  • Live performance –
  • Yesss… they kept the same energy while performing. Good job.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  • They seem to be singing live, I appreciate that.
  • Okay, I know that this album is a conclusion of an ongoing trilogy but because I have not been following this group. I do not see the need to discuss any theories.
  • All the same, I can tell that ATEEZ is a solid group. So I need to do more research on them after I finish my work for today.

Album Review: img_2718Here is a preview of the album –

  1. Answer – I am just going to chill through this track. I already said it all.
  2. Horizon – Why does this sound so Arabian in the beginning. Is it just me getting such vibes from the lady’s voice in the background? Great choice with the EDM instrumental, the start definitely got my attention. I love the switch between a soft tone to a deeper one during the singing parts. They have an excellent range of vocalists, and the rappers are also incredible. What is this trap like feel? I AM IN LOVE. “Horizon” is a very intriguing track. It has an unexpected sound, but it can be appreciated from the first listen. I am genuinely impressed. And the way the beat switches up towards the end, plus the high notes. At this point, I can clearly state that I am in love with ATEEZ. This song is πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯.
  3. Star 1117 – Okay, we are taking things a bit slower now. I love their voices, I need to finish this and go learn about each vocalist. This is so soothing. I like how the drums are used to add in rhythm. This is the classic RnB sound but still very refreshing to hear because of how beautiful they sound. Ooo, there is some guitar playing as well. Excellent production on instrumental. Yesss to the vocal runs and high notes. I have to replay this track. At this rate, the entire album will be added to my playlist.
  4. Precious – This starts out in a way that leaves you anticipating how the drop during the chorus is going to happen. Right now, I am just like okay, what is coming next? I like that all the exciting elements are not given away from the start. Yess to the flawless falsetto notes. I KNEW IT. I HAD A STRONG FEELING THAT THE DROP WAS GOING TO TAKE ME BY SUPRISE πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. By the way, I am enjoying the EDM vibe of this album. On a regular, I am not the biggest fan of EDM, but when it sounds this funky, I genuinely appreciate it. “Precious” is a BOP.  I have my stank face on right now while grooving πŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌπŸ’ƒπŸΌ… all I need now is a disco light. The rappers are killing it on this track. YESSS. I love how they all joined in to sing the chorus at the end. ATEEX keeps on giving me more feels with each song, so I think I just found my new obsession. WHAT???… how can they end this song on such a chill and soft note, the disrespect.
  5. Outro: Long Journey – This one has a video, but it is not actually a song. More like a spoken word conclusion to their trilogy, I guess. All the same, the instrumental on this is beautiful. This articulates power and hope. I also appreciate the fact that it is entirely in English.

Final Thoughts:

My rating for TREASURE EPILOGUE: Action to Answer by ATEEZ is a solid 10/10. I was WOWED, so I will be keeping an eye out for them now. I am so glad that I discovered this group because I would have been missing out on such great music. Also, I must get my hands on a physical copy of this album.

Now I am off to go listen to all their albums. Luckily for me, they are a relatively new group.
