Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): Watch Progress Update

Since I started writing a recap/review of this program here, I thought it would be only right to update why I stopped.

Honestly, I wasn’t enjoying it. Usually, Heart Signal can be frustrating, but as a viewer, I still enjoy trying to guess the love lines or just watching the housemates interact with each other. This third season of the Korean version wasn’t doing it for me. I tried to push through and give them chances to evolve. But even down to episode 8, I was still dealing with the same unfair allocated screen time issues. Then I noticed that this season had 16 episodes, which doesn’t make sense because halfway through had been a full drag.

I read a few reviews, and many people enjoyed it, and some said it got better towards the end after the housemates started communicating their feelings appropriately. However, I don’t feel inclined to go back, so I will no longer document Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version). Maybe one day, when I have a lot of time, I can watch it personally to get closure.

Currently, I am looking forward to the third season of the Chinese version. I sincerely hope this one doesn’t disappoint me as well. Tencent has announced the new panel line-up.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 8

I’m doing my best to catch up, so I’ll probably be posting one episode of this show every day.

  • I hope this episode gets even better than the previous one.
  • It looks like the new girl is moving into the signal house soon.
  • I wonder who she will go for.
  • Wow, Im Han Gyeol said that he is no longer curious about Park Ji Hyun and also complemented Min Jae.
  • I can see that Seo Min Jae is really into him, but I don’t think he’s is super invested yet. All the same, they have time to grow and know each other better.
  • Why are all the housemates in beige or cream clothes? Did they code before coming on camera?
  • Oh, I didn’t know that Ga Heun was going on a date with Kang Yeol. I am slightly excited to see how this turns out.
  • So far, their conversation is flowing well enough like casual friends, but I can tell that Ga Heun’s heart isn’t there, and that’s okay.
  • Lmao Kang Yeol said he came to the signal house to be around the girls, not guys. I just vibe with his straightforward personality.
  • Are they about to play the guys like they did the ladies when Kim Kang Yeol first arrived? They just received a text message telling them to welcome the fourth female housemate.
  • I guess she is coming straight to the house, and the guys have to prepare a small event for her.
  • LMAO, these men are adorable. The way they all put on the face mask and took a selfie before laying down to chill was too cute.
  • I can’t deal with them right now.πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
  • And here comes the random cat on the roof shots again. Lol
  • The girls are finally outside spending some alone time, and I love how observant Ga Heun is of everyone in the house.
  • Ga Heun and Min Jae are expressing how they deal with not getting the attention of the person they like.
  • Basically, they either give them space or take action. Then if the response is not favourable, don’t beat yourself too much about it. Let go, sit back and watch things play out naturally.
  • Finally, the new lady – Cheon An Na, is here.img_8511_original
  • Kim Kang Yeol is a clown. He’s telling Cheon An Na that he was also shy when he first arrived. All the guys stared at him funny because Kang Yeol was very comfortable on his first day. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • The girls are finally back. Now let’s see how this goes.
  • Cheon An Na is 27 years old, and she works as a personal assistant.
  • I don’t really understand the set up for the upcoming date, but I think the girls chose a movie and who they want to see it with?
  • Now the guys have to pick one of the movies? Anyways, let me continue because I’ll figure it out as I watch.
  • So the panel has to predict which two guys each lady chose for her date and what movie was theirs. Here are their guesses –

– Park Ji Hyun πŸ‘‰πŸΌ ‘The Notebook’ to Cheon In Woo and Kim Kang Yeol.

– Cheon An Na πŸ‘‰πŸΌ ‘About Time’ to Jun Eui Dong and Kim Kang Yeol.

– The panel was equally divided on which of the two remaining movies belonged to Seo Min Jae or Lee Ga Heun.

– They also guessed that both Lee Ga Huen and Seo Min Jae chose Cheon In Woo and Im Han Gyeol.

  • Now here are the actual results –Β  Screenshot (88)Screenshot (91)Screenshot (94)Screenshot (95)
  • The panel guessed right, and I am so happy that someone finally noticed my dear Eui Dong.
  • Now we get to see one of the dates. I personally want to see Cheon An Na and Eui Dong first, but I also want them to have enough screen time, so maybe they should wait till the next episode.
  • Of course, I had a feeling. The first date is Cheon An Na and Eui Dong.
  • They seem very comfortable with each other, and Eui Dong is proactive.
  • I think I finally found my ship for this season. I am excited about Jun Eui Dong and Cheon An Na, fingers-crossed, I hope it works out.

Overall this episode was not too bad. The ending date made me happy, and I can’t wait to see the continuation tomorrow. As always, here is a link to the English subbed version of this program: Heart Signal (Korean Version) on Viki

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 7

Alright, I really do not know how the love lines are going to play out at this point but let’s just continue –

  • At this point, I feel like I am watching a Korean drama that focuses only on the main couple, and shows the side characters once in a while.
  • It’s frustrating that the tempo of the season has been very stagnant. Therefore I am not too intrigued to continue.
  • In the previous episode, Park Ji Hyun asked Cheon In Woo to drive her to work, but Im Han Gyeol just asked In Woo to let him drive her instead.
  • I personally think that he should have asked Ji Hyun first before making impromptu interruption to her plans.
  • I don’t foresee this carpool change ending well because she intended to spend more time with Cheon In Woo.
  • Oh well, she rejected the change. I kind of saw it coming.
  • I feel like Im Han Gyeol does not really have a chance with her because she’s already too invested in Cheon In Woo. I kind of feel sad about it tho.
  • Finally, Seo Min Jae is getting some screen time, and she’s with the person she likes, Im Han Gyeol.
  • They both look stylish in their long coats. Screenshot (84)
  • Sorry I could not get a very clear screenshot.
  • Another thing I want to point out is that I’m not too sure if the non-popular housemates are not proactive or catchy enough for the producers because the editing and time allocation on this show is quite crappy.
  • I can’t seem to get into the vibe of this season at all. I’m literally lost.
  • Lol Kim Kang Yeol is so odd, the way he asked Park Ji Hyun out in front of everyone was kind of funny.
  • Does Cheon In Woo feel threatened because Kim Kang Yeol asked Park Ji Hyun out on a date?
  • Boy!!!! you better make up your damn mind.πŸ˜’
  • Oh, we’re getting to see more Im Han Gyeol and Seo Min Jae. Nice.
  • I love that their matching black coats and I want one.
  • Korea has a lot of unique restaurants. I love their set up and interior designs. Their food also looks delicious.
  • Lee Ga Heun is such a lovely person. She actually gave Seo Min Jae some advice on her to get closer to Im Han Gyeol.
  • I love how the conversation is flowing between Han Gyeol and Min Jae. They are just talking about random things, and there’s no heavy, awkward energy.
  • Now it is time for Kim Kang Yeol and Park Ji Hyun’s date.
  • I’m surprised that Ji Hyun is actually carrying a conversation without being too reserved, shy or awkward. She has gotten better. Good job, girl.
  • Jun Eui Dong is always third-wheeling. My poor baby.
  • Cheon In Woo made it too obvious that he was sad and uneasy because Park Ji Hyun was out on a date with someone else.
  • Lee Ga Heun, my dear girl. She seems done with his ‘situationship.’
  • It’s interesting to see how everyone is airing out their feelings without being straightforward. At the same time, they all understand what each person is saying.
  • Alright time for the love-line predictions, and just like the previous episode, I don’t have any guesses.
  • Here’s the final result – Screenshot (85)

– Cheon In Woo and Kim Kang Yeol both sent text messages to Park Ji Hyun, but only Kang Hyeol got a text back.

– Im Han Gyeol and Seo Min Jae texted each other.

– LMAO, this one killed me. Lee Ga Heun sent a text to Jun Eui Dong. I knew she was over In Woo’s messπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I LOVE HER.

– Oh, finally, everyone wants to move on from focusing on just one girl. Jun Eui Dong sent a text message to Seo Min Jae.

  • I’m glad that this show has finally displayed a slight change in tempo, but I’ll keep watching to see how everything wraps up.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 6

Alright, it’s been a while, but at least now, almost all the episodes are out. Continuing from where I left off, it is time to see how awkward the first meeting between the new guy and the girls is going to be –

  • I feel like the panellists are slighting too focused on Park Ji Hyun. They don’t analyze the actions of the other ladies as much.
  • A good example was when Kim Kang Yeaol cross-checked with the waiter about the fried rice, they quickly assumed that he did so because it was Ji Hyun’s order. However, I bet the guy was simply making sure they got all their orders correct.
  • I don’t think Kim Kang Yeol has shown interest in any of the girls yet.
  • Oooh, the other guys just arrived. This is about to get more awkward.
  • Cheon In Woo’s face of disbelief while walking towards the table is killing meπŸ˜‚. Mans is really in shock.
  • Kim Kang Yeol is 26 years old. He is into branding business, like clothes and eyeglasses. So basically, his department should be luxury fashion, right?img_0002
  • They all have exciting jobs.
  • Alright, they’re back in the Signal House. Now let’s see how the dynamics change.
  • I love that Kim Kang Yeol doesn’t stress with all the minor decisions. He readily said whoever wakes up first can cook.
  • I know It would have taken much longer if left to the other housemates to decide.
  • I love that Kang Yeol adapted to the house quickly. Even the other guys are amazed.
  • I’m really into his casual and outgoing personality, but at the same time, I hope he doesn’t overstep personal space.
  • How can Cheon In Woo and Park Ji Hyun be on a date without saying a word to each other for more than three minutes? They’re not even eating yet, so what’s up with all the awkward silence?Screenshot (80)
  • I can’t deal with them, and I’m over this ‘situationship.’
  • When she asked who among the housemates he felt most awkward with? I already knew the answer would be her. This is not something entirely negative, but it has to be worked on.
  • Okay, at least Park Ji Hyun is finally speaking up. She admits that she was upset when In Woo took Lee Ga Heun out for coffee even though she asked him first.
  • I genuinely applaud her effort and hope she continues to speak up.
  • Currently, I don’t support any of the ships. All I want is for everyone to have a shot at who they like before letting go if need be.
  • From what I’m seeing, Cheon In Woo seems more open when he’s with Lee Ga Heun, but honestly, you never know with this kind of shows.Screenshot (81)
  • Lee Ga Heun is a full-on flirting queen. Outside of all the situationship, I love her.
  • Okay, it is time for the love-line predictions.
  • I don’t have any guesses this time around because I didn’t see much interaction between most housemates.
  • Texting Results – Screenshot (75)

– Park Ji Hyun and Lee Ga Heun both sent text messages to Cheon In Woo, but only Ga Heun received a text back.

– Seo Min Jae sent a text to Im Han Gyeol.

– Im Han Gyeol, Jun Eui Dong and Kim Kang Yeol all sent text messages to Park Ji Hyun, but of course,Β no replies.

Honestly, I thought by now that I would be used to the momentum of this season, but it really lacks in many aspects. I will reserve all my comments for the final episode because I want to see if things get better.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 5

In the previous episode, we got to see the housemates go on blind dates, and they didn’t provide a preview, so I feel they might bring in one of the remaining two members in this one.

Let’s dive in –

  • Lmao, why are they all staring at Im Han Gyeol while he makes coffee?
  • Lee Ga Heun is interesting. The way she came in waving and said, “morning.”πŸ˜„
  • Yes, I see you… kitty on the roof.
  • There’s always a cat on the roof in every episode. It’s hilarious.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • They have to go out to do laundry. Doesn’t the signal house have a washerΒ and dryer?
  • Wow, Cheon In Woo is actually complimenting and talking about Lee Ga Heun?
  • Finally, he’s taking notice of her.
  • Thank You, Seo Min Jae, for helping In Woo clear his confusion about Ga Heun’s feelings. I love that they are talking and spending time casually just as friends.Screenshot (72)
  • Their vibe together is so chill. I do appreciate the less awkward and tense moments.
  • The cafes in Korea are beautiful.
  • I have plans to open a cafe when I finish school, and the ones in this show are giving me major inspiration.
  • Awww, Cheon In Woo just admitted that Lee Ga Heun had a significant impact on him during the date.
  • So he can no longer be overly proactive towards Park Ji Hyun.
  • I wonder why Seo Min Jae is wearing a wig, and it looks like she’s still going for Im Han Gyeol.
  • Nice job, In Woo. Once they got back to the signal house, he knew to give Min Jae some private time with Im Han Gyeol.
  • Weirdly, they haven’t shown Park Ji Hyun yet, but at least we get to see some new interactions.
  • Oh, I spoke too soon. Park Ji Hyun has arrived. Why did the mood become odd once she stepped in?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • Β Yep, Ji Hyun can sense that In Woo and Ga Heun have gotten closer. She is definitely nervous about this new development.
  • This is a whole Kdrama love triangle, people. I foresee DRAMA!!!!
  • I’m curious to see if Cheon In Woo completely switches to Lee Ga Heun because right now, he seems confused.
  • Lol poor Min Jae, she’s so nervous cooking alone with Im Han Gyeol.
  • Min Jae finally took the initiative to ask Im Han Gyeol out. Good for you girl, I hope it works out.
  • The girls are really stepping out this season, and I am living for their braveness and energy. πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™ŒπŸΌ
  • Now all I need is for Park Ji Hyun to start voicing her feelings instead of giggling all the time to avoid tense conversations.
  • Cheon In Woo even tried to find out why she was looking down, but she was so closed off. Girl!!! I ain’t asking you to be a straight shooter like Lee Ga Heun, but at least open up a little.
  • Why do I feel like she is more comfortable around Jun Eui Dong than the other two guys?
  • She actually talks to him and carries the conversation along. Screenshot (73)
  • They are kind of cute together, so I’m hoping that Ji Hyun hasn’t friend-zoned him.
  • It looks like In Woo is ready to make his move at Ga Heun. He actually waited outside just to ask her out to dinner. 😏😏😏Screenshot (74)
  • Honestly, Lee Ga Heun is a major girl crush. The way she shoots words when their least expected is superb.
  • She is also a master flirt, and I aim to be like her… A WHOLE QUEEN.πŸ‘‘
  • Cheon In Woo is getting all flustered around her. I like that he’s opening up to her.
  • YESSS!!! Finally, the fourth guy is coming in, and I hope he shakes things up.
  • Alright, it is time to guess the love connections.
  • Here are my guesses –

– Cheon In Woo and Lee Ga Heun will text each other.

– Jun Eui Dong and Park Ji Hyun will text each other.

– Seo Min Jae will text Im Han Gyeol, and Im Han Gyeol will text Park Ji Hyun.

  • The panel members also arrived at the same connections.
  • Now let’s see the final results –Screenshot (75)

– Seo Min Jae sent a text to Im Han Gyeol.

– Lee Ga Heun and Cheon In Woo sent text messages to each other.

– Jun Eui Dong and Im Han Gyeon both texted Park Ji Hyun, but only Eui Dong got a text back from her.

  • Hurray, I got all the connections right.
  • I think the ladies got a secret message to meet up with the fourth guy.
  • Oh damn, the girls lied so that they could sneak out and meet the fourth guy. Now the guys also got a text asking them to meet up with the same person. Which means, they will all see each other there.
  • LMAO, I’m dying.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • The music for the new guy’s entry is dramatic. He better live up to the hype.
  • His name is Kim Kang Yeol, and I wonder which lady will catch his attention???
  • Alright, that is it for this episode.

This was a well-balanced episode, and I really enjoyed the new interactions. I’m excited to see what this new guy brings to the table.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Verison): My Thoughts on Episode 4

Okay, I am back with episode 4, so let’s get right into it –

  • I hope we get to see more of Seo Min Jae and Lee Ga Heun in this episode.
  • I’m excited to see who ends up with who on each date.
  • At least the product placement in the Korean version is a bit more subtle compared to that of China.
  • Everyone looks beautiful and prepared for this blind date.
  • I find it interesting that they always have a cat on the roof in every episode.πŸ˜‚
  • YESSS!!!! Seo Min Jae picked Jun Eui Dong’s card. I have been waiting to get more interactions with these two.
  • Min Jae is so happy about her choice.
  • They are awkward, and Eui Dong seems disappointed. Screenshot (65)
  • Well boy, you better get with the program and have a proper and friendly conversation with the lady beside you. πŸ—£YOU HEAR ME.
  • Lmao, the production crew, must have asked him to bandage his tattoos because they’re tired of blurring it out when editing.πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ˜„
  • Seo Min Jae is trying to communicate, but he’s not on her pace yet.
  • Ahhhh!!!! the scene where Jun Eui Dong asked Seo Min Jae if she wanted him to make kimchi for her made me go doki doki even though it shouldn’t have. LOL –
  • The food looks so delicious.
  • I love that Seo Min Jae is easy going and Jun Eui Dong is starting to talk more.
  • The temple they visited is very peaceful and beautiful. Screenshot (66)
  • Now onto Lee Ga Heun’s date.Screenshot (67)
  • All the guys seem disappointed at first that they didn’t get Park Ji Hyun. So the dates are starting out awkward.
  • Lee Ga Heun is direct and bold. She made Cheon In Woo get all smiley and shy.
  • Most of the guys are actually compatible with the other ladies, but I guess the heart wants what the heart wants.
  • The ladies on this season are outgoing, but the guys seem very careful with what they say and do.
  • Wow, Lee Ga Heun is fierceπŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ –
  • She doesn’t hold back or subtly throw hints. She simply goes all out with full force.
  • Alright unto the next date with Park Ji Hyun and Im Han Gyeol.
  • What’s up with all the random cat shots???
  • I’m really enjoying this episode because everyone got equal screen time. Finally!!!
  • Honestly, there are way too many flashbacks in this season, and the editing is quite sloppy.
  • The cafe that Ji Hyun and Han Gyeol visited is gorgeous. Screenshot (69)Screenshot (70)
  • Im Han Gyeol is really a classy kind of guy, and I love his choice of spots for a first date.
  • Personally, I would want a balanced mix of all three dates.
  • Alright, I don’t have much to say about Park Ji Hyun and Im Han Gyeol’s date, so let’s check out the texting results – Screenshot (71)

– YESSS!!! Lee Ga Heun texted Cheon In Woo, and he also sent a text back.

– Im Han Gyeol and Park Ji Hyun texted each other as well.

– YESS!!!πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ Seo Min Jae and Jun Eui Dong sent text messages to each other.

  • Finally, things are switching up a bit, and it will get more heated up once the remaining housemates arrive.
  • Also, I feel that Park Ji Hyun texted Im Han Gyeol out of courtesy and not really because she’s interested in him.

Overall, this was a better episode compared to previous ones. We got equal screen time, and I got to see Lee Ga Heun and Seo Min Jae shine with their outgoing personalities. Also, we now have new possibilities for love lines. Therefore, I am now super excited to see what comes next.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 3

Hello, hello😊

I haven’t been watching this show or Youth With You 2 because I needed a break. Sometimes when I’m juggling too much on here plus my regular daily activities, it gets a bit stressful, and I don’t want to bring that energy to my blog. I want this blog to be a lighthearted space for both my readers and myself. So once I notice that my workload is affecting my mood, I put some things aside for a while.

Youth with You 2 has gone very far ahead, and I’m not sure if I can catch up, but we’ll see about that. All the same, I am officially back to watching Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version). This week, I plan to get through episodes three to seven.

Now let the marathon begin –

  • I think I just saw the hand-mic during the panel studio scene. They probably mistakenly moved the camera outside the required frame.
  • Jun Eui Dong is so adorable and precious.
  • Are they really going to blur out his tattoos the entire season?
  • I hope they share the screentime equally in this episode.
  • So Park Ji Hyun, Jun Eui Dong and Im Han Gyeol are going to do groceries together. I feel like Ji Hyun is started to pay more attention to Eui Dong, but I won’t read too much into it.
  • I’m really missing the Chinese panel’s vibe. The panel members were hilarious and very insightful with their commentaries.
  • I appreciate that Jun Eui Dong isn’t being forceful with getting Park Ji Hyun’s attention. He gives her space but also tries to have casual conversations with her.
  • Park Ji Hyun admits to purposely not choosing Cheon In Woo’s gift in the last episode because she didn’t want her feelings to be too obvious. At the same time, she also regrets her decision.
  • I can understand how she felt at that point. She must have been scared to put her feelings out openly, so she simply avoided the situation.
  • Alright, I’m halfway through this episode, and Seo Min Jae hasn’t been shown. Also, Lee Ga Heun barely had 2 – 4 minutes of screen time.
  • I love Park Ji Hyun, but the producers need to do better. Honestly, the other two ladies haven’t had the opportunity to show their personality to the viewers.
  • Plus, they are also wasting too much time replaying the same scenes whenever one a housemate talks about who they like.
  • I feel since we’ve already seen those parts, they could just let them talk about their feelings and move on to the next person.
  • Jun Eui Dong is such an organizer, and he’s very creative. I’m a pretty organized person myself; hence I admire people who manage their space effectively.
  • Also, what Eui Dong wrote in his diary was so beautiful and insightful – “The way it blows in the wind was like a shy little girl. I will be that wind.” I am a poem lover, so I felt those words.
  • I love that he’s getting more screen time in this episode.
  • P.O just said something very insightful about Jun Eui Dong’s character – Just continue being yourself and be sincere because whoever you like does take notice. If it’s meant to be, it will be.
  • Finally, after 50 minutes, I get to see the other ladies. Thank you.
  • I love that Lee Ga Heun is forward and confident. She got all shy when Cheon In Woo complimented her looks. So cute.πŸ˜„
  • Jun Eui Dong’s screen time in this episode makes me feel that the producers are setting him up for something big.
  • So it’s time to predict the love lines. Here are my predictions –

– Cheon In Woo, Jun Eui Dong and Im Han Gyeol will all text Park Ji Hyun.

– Park Ji Hyun and Lee Ga Heun will both text Cheon In Woo.

– Seo Min Jae will text Jun Eui Dong.

  • Now let’s see if I guessed all right.
  • Final Results –Screenshot (62)

– As expected, Cheon In Woo, Im Han Gyeol and Jun Eui Dong all sent text messages to Park Ji Hyun.

– Another correct prediction. Park Ji Hyun sent a text message to Cheon In Woo.

– I was wrong about Lee Ga Heun. She sent a text message to Im Han Gyeol.

– YESSS!! I guessed right. Seo Min Jae sent a text message to Jun Eui Dong.

  • Lee Ga Heun noticed the signs during dinner and decided not to waste her text. LMAO.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • She knows her worth and kept her pride by not texting either Cheon In Woo or Jun Eui Dong. Good job, girl.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  • I like that Lee Ga Heun and Seo Min Jae are not putting their heads in only one basket because it’s way too early in the game for all that.
  • Honestly, I really don’t mind that all the guys are currently focused on one person since this always happens in Heart Signal, but I am super excited for things to switch up once the remaining two housemates come in.
  • Ooooh, it looks like the next episode is going to be for the first dates. This is perfect because now everyone can have some one-on-one time.
  • The guys all wrote a date card, and I guess the girl will have to randomly pick.
  • LOL, they’re playing rock, paper, scissors to decide who chooses a card first.
  • I’m excited to see how the dates turn out.Screenshot (63)

Overall the one thing I have an issue with is the division of screen time. Lee Ga Heun and Seo Min Jae deserve more scenes. They are equally as interesting to me, and I want to get to know them better. Yes, all the men are focused on Park Ji Hyun, but these two ladies should still be allowed to shoot their shots.

We currently have six housemates, but yet we get to see only three each episode. Then how will things become when all eight housemates are in the Signal House??? The production team needs to do better at allocating scene time and editing the episodes.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 2

I am back with my thoughts for episode two of this program, so let’s get right into it.

  • Oh, Yoon Shi Yoon cut his hair.
  • They changed the seating positions for a few panel members.
  • I was hoping they would show the text messages in this episode, but they seem to be skipping that aspect entirely.
  • Also, we will be finding out the occupation and age of each housemate in this episode.
  • The tension between Im Han Gyeol and Cheon In Woo is so real, but I’m glad that they are talking to each other more in this episode.
  • Both Im Han Gyeol and Cheon In Woo were waiting for Park Ji Hyun the next morning. Im Han Gyeol even made her breakfast, but she ended up catching a ride with Cheon In Woo.
  • It looks like Im Han Gyeol lost this round again.
  • Cheon In Woo goes head on for what he wants while Im Han Gyeol stays laid back.
  • I know there’s more drama to come, so I am quite intrigued to see how this ongoing triangle develops.
  • I love Seo Min Jae’s vibe. She is easygoing, and I want to know what kind of job she does.
  • She seems like the kind of girl that gets along more easily with guys compared to ladies. I’m saying this based on her conversation with her co-workers.
  • Awww Seo Min Jae felt left out because she didn’t get a text. Don’t worry, girl, these boys are all hung up on one lady for now, but there is more time, and many changes will occur.
  • Apparently, her job has to do with Engineering.
  • Im Han Gyeol is a sweet and handsome guy, but he needs to be more proactive or even switch lanes to another person.
  • Β I love that everyone’s friends are giving out great advice.
  • Oooh, it looks like Im Han Gyeol is about to get his head in the game for real. He went to the bakery that Park Ji Hyun wanted to visit. He’s probably going to buy her something.
  • Although Lee Ga Heun and Im Han Gyeol are not into each other, I think they have good chemistry.
  • I prefer it when the atmosphere is light between the housemates. The tension that comes from love line triangles kills me, but at the same time, I understand the essence of the show. There has to be drama.
  • Yess… Im Han Gyeol is finally speaking up. Hurray!!, shoot your shot boy.
  • I’m not really rooting for anyone at this moment, but I want everyone to have a fair chance at who they like.
  • I noticed that Park Ji Hyun is more relaxed around Im Han Gyeol.
  • But this could be for various reasons. Maybe Park Ji Hyun seems more relaxed because she’s not into him like that, or perhaps she just has more chemistry with him compared to Cheon In Woo. Who knows?
  • I’m really excited to see how things play out.
  • I’m watching this on Viki, and almost everyone in the comment section is saying that Cheon In Woo is a self-centred jerk, but I don’t necessarily see him that way.
  • It’s definitely annoying for the other guy involved, and I sometimes think he should take a slower pace in his pursuit, but Cheon In Woo is simply someone that goes for what he wants no matter what. Those types of people are naturally very competitive and fast.
  • P.O is a big Jun Eui Dong fan. It’s so cute how his routing for him.
  • So the housemates were asked to prepare a Christmas present before coming into the Signal House, and now each person gets to pick one randomly.
  • Cheon In Woo picked Seo Min Jae’s present.
  • Seo Min Jae works for a car company as a mechanic, and she’s 27 years old.
  • She has a cool job. It’s nice to see a woman represented in such an odd sector.
  • Park Ji Hyun chose Im Han Gyeol’s gift. It’s a really beautiful emerald green tea-cup and saucer.
  • I want one.😍
  • Im Han Gyeol is an F&B (food/beverage) Brand Director, and he’s 31 years old. Ahh, no wonder he knew about wines.
  • Jun Eui Dong is so soft-spoken and calm, I really love his vibe. He picked Lee Ga Heun’s gift.
  • Lee Ga Heun is a vet school student, and she’s 24 years old. She is so adorable.
  • Lee Ga Heun picked Cheon In Woo’s present. It’s a polaroid camera, and I want one also.πŸ˜₯
  • Oh, Cheon In Woo used to work for Facebook as an engineer. Currently, he works as an engineer in a fintech company, and he’s 31 years old. He also lived in the US for ten years.
  • Heart Signal always gets well-accomplished individuals for their show.
  • Im Han Gyeol picked Park Ji Hyun’s present.
  • Park Ji Hyun is a senior university student, and she’s 24 years old. She’s currently an intern, and she plans to pursue medicine in graduate school.
  • Interesting. Cheon In Woo and Im Han Gyeol are the same age, and they both like Park Ji Hyun. Lee Ga Heun and Park Ji Hyun are both students of the same age, and they like Cheon In Woo.
  • What an intriguing love square.🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣
  • Seo Min Jae picked Jun Eui Dong’s present. He prepared a book that he owned since high school. Basically, he gifted out a personal belonging. That’s different and meaningful. I really want to know his line of work.
  • Jun Eui Dong is a sculptor that makes replicas of extinct animals. Most of his works are displayed at museums, and he is 28 years old.
  • Jun Eui Dong is growing to be my favourite housemate. I like that he is attentive, gentle, and so cute. I simply love his warm personality.
  • I love the jobs they’ve mentioned so far. They’re all fresh, and I noticed that all the housemates are somehow connected to the science field.
  • Texting Results For This Episode –Screenshot (59)

– Cheon In Woo and Im Han Gyeol both sent text messages to Park Ji Hyun.

– Lee Ga Heun and Park Ji Hyun both sent text messages to Cheon In Woo.

– Seo Min Jae sent a text message to Im Han Gyeol.

– Yesss!!!… I had a strong feeling, and I was rightπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰. Jun Eui Dong sent a text to Seo Min Jae.

  • Okay, it seems they are not going to be showing us the text messages this season. That’s fine.

I like how things are progressing so far, and every housemate is fascinating to watch, but I feel they need to do a better job of allocating screentime to all housemates equally. I am looking forward to what the next episode brings. I think there’s a big twist coming for the current love lines, so I’m excited.

Heart Signal 3 (Korean Version): My Thoughts on Episode 1

Hello everyone, I hope you all are in good health. Please continue to stay safe.

Today I started the third season of Heart Signal, the Korean version, and I decided to write a review/recap for the first episode.

Heart Signal is a Korean variety show where six to eight strangers live together in the same house for a month. The house is known as the Signal House. The primary purpose is to discover if these six to eight individuals can find love and even build a relationship while living together. The show also incorporates panellists with various experiences in dating and romance. The people on the panel are placed in a separate studio where they can observe, comment and even attempt to guess the potential love lines among the housemates. There is also a Chinese version of this program.

Before I begin, let’s have a formal introduction of the panellist and cast members for this season. There are six individuals on the panel and eight housemates for this season.

(Pardon the picture quality, I wanted to stick with screenshots).

Panel Members:

– Yoon Shi YoonScreenshot (35)

– Han Hye-jinScreenshot (34)

– P.OScreenshot (37)

– Lee Sang MinScreenshot (32)

– Kim Ea NaScreenshot (36)

– Yang Jae UngScreenshot (39)

Signal House Cast Members:

– Cheon In WooScreenshot (43)

– Jun Eui DongScreenshot (45)

– Lee Ga HeunScreenshot (46)

– Im Han GyeolScreenshot (48)

– Seo Min JaeScreenshot (52)

– Park Ji HyunScreenshot (53)

(Please note – this is a real-time review/recap. This means I typing down my exact thoughts while watching this program.)

My Thoughts on Episode 1:

  • I want the panel for this season to be as funny as the ones on the second season of the Chinese version, but I also want them to have their own unique dynamic.
  • I love the panel’s studio. It has an antique vibe.
  • So, as usual, when the panel members make the right predictions, they get a signal gemstone.Screenshot (33)
  • I find it so cute that they used different animals to represent each housemate’s secret Instagram account –Screenshot (42)
  • Alright, the first housemate is in. His name is Cheon In Woo. He is giving me a classy and calm vibe for now.
  • Oooh, the next guy is spotting some tattoos. I honestly don’t like that they blurred out his tattoos but whatever.
  • His name is Jun Eui Dong. He seems to be the reserved type, and he’s also really gentle. There’s definitely more to him.
  • This season’s house has an art gallery-inspired design. I really like it.Screenshot (44)
  • The first arrivals are always so awkward.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • Okay, the next housemate is a lady. Lee Ga Heun, she is so pretty. I feel like she’s an outgoing type.
  • The awkward silence is killing me. Try starting some small conversations, guys.
  • Next roommate is Im Han Gyeol. He is good looking, and he seems like a quiet type, but we’ll see.
  • We need one more guy to complete this set and three more girls to get the ball rolling.
  • Ga Heun seems really interested in Han Gyeol. She noticed his perfume and also tried striking a conversation with him. Is sis already shooting her shot?😏😏😏
  • The second girl to join the Signal house is Seo Min Jae. She seems like the type that could quickly get along with everyone.
  • Ooo, another lady… Her name is Park Ji Hyun, and she has such a pretty smile. One of those smiles that automatically makes you smile back at her. Wow.😍😍😍
  • Oops, I forgot. They usually start out with six housemates, and then the other two come in a bit later.
  • Moving on… they need to prepare a Christmas dinner party, and five of them are not good at cooking. Thankfully Park Ji Hyun is there to save them.
  • Their dining room and the set is so beautiful – Screenshot (55)
  • I love the interior design for this house. It is clean, classic but still modern enough, and so aesthetically pleasing.
  • The kitchen is quite tight tho. I prefer kitchens with more open space because I want to be able to move around without hitting someone or something.
  • Oooh, the tension is here. Aahhh!!!, I don’t think I’m ready.
  • Cheon In Woo and Im Han Gyeol seem to be competing for the attention of Park Ji Hyun.
  • So far, Cheon In Woo is winning.
  • Lee Ga Heun also seems interested in Cheon In Woo, but his eyes are not on her.
  • Things are still very awkward and silent among the housemates, which is reasonable since it’s the first episode.
  • Right now, I think I can predict the love line of four housemates, but I am still blank on Seo Min Jae and Jun Eui Dong.
  • Here are my predictions –

– Cheon In Woo and Park Ji Hyun will send text messages to each other.

– Im Han Gyeol will send a text message to Park Ji Hyun.

– Lee Ga Heun will send a text message to Cheon In Woo.

  • When making my predictions for the first episode, I try not to over-analyze every moment because I have learnt from past experiences that everyone tends to swim towards one housemate of each gender at first.
  • Still, who knows? They might prove me wrong.
  • Let’s see the panel’s predictions –

– Cheon In Woo, Im Han Gyeol and Jun Eui Dong will all send text messages to Park Ji Hyun. Damn, if that’s actually the case, then what about the other girls?😒😒😒

– Seo Min Jae will send a text message to Im Han Gyeol. I could see why.

– Lee Ga Heun and Park Ji Hyun will both send text messages to Cheon In Woo.

  • Alright, now let’s see the final results – Screenshot (57)

– Cheon In Woo and Park Ji Hyun sent text messages to each other as expected.

– The judges were right about Jun Eui Dong. He sent a text to Park Ji Hyun.

– Seo Min Jae sent a text to Im Han Gyeol.

– Lee Ga Heun sent a text to Cheon In Woo as predicted.

– The last man standing, Im Han Gyeol. He sent a text to Lee Ga Heun… I didn’t see that coming, but it’s a nice twist.

  • Hmmm, why didn’t they show their text messages? That’s weird. Unless they plan to show it in the next episode.
  • I have a feeling that Im Han Gyeol chose Lee Ga Heun because he was angry about the situation that happened in the kitchen. Cheon In Woo kept interrupting his time with Park Ji Hyun.
  • Personally, I think he is still very interested in Park Ji Hyun. Plus, from the previews for episode two, he’s coming on stronger.

Alright, guys. That is it for this post. I know it’s quite long, but I had to introduce everyone properly. The next nine recaps/reviews for this program will be shorter. I think I might watch episode two tomorrow.

Youth With You 2: My Thoughts On Episode 1 – Part 1

Hello, beautiful people. I hope everyone is doing great. Due to the current state in the world, I am at home practicing social distancing. Hence I have some free time to blog.

This variety section has been on hold since I completed Heart Signal because it was difficult for me to decide on the next program to tackle. Recently I saw a few clips of Youth With You Season 2, and even though I am not the biggest fan of audition programs, I still want to check it out. Now, if this program fails to keep my attention by episode three, I will drop it. My thoughts on this show will be in the form of a recap/short commentary.

Youth With You 2 is an iQIYI produced program that focuses on the journey of 100 girls as they try to realize their dreams of becoming idols. The show incorporates a youth producer representative and mentors that help guide the girls. Only 9 girls will be chosen to debut at the end of this program. Right now, I am kind of confused about how the mentor vs youth producer line up works, but I will figure things out while watching. All I need to do now is remember their names. We have KUN as the Youth Producer Representative, BLACKPINK’s LISA as the Dance mentor, JONY J as the Rap mentor and Ella as the Vocal mentor.Β

Youth With You 2 is available on the iQIYI app with English subtitles.

(Please note – this is a real-time review/recap. This means I am typing down my exact thoughts while watching the show.)

My Thoughts on Episode 1 – Part 1:

  • Finger crossed🀞🏼🀞🏼🀞🏼. I hope this turns out good and exciting.
  • The intro is quite dramatic. I almost thought I was watching the wrong episode.
  • Ahhh!!! iQIYI is killing me with so many product placements. It’s already five minutes into the episode, and they are still showing sponsored products.
  • Can we just begin the actual program, please???
  • So KUN debuted in 2018, and he is a singer and producer. I like that they are giving us a proper introduction to each mentor.
  • Ella is from Taiwan, and she is also a singer. She is a member of the popular girl group S.H.E, which debuted in 2001. I know the group, but I don’t follow their music.
  • I really love the set design for this show.
  • LISA is so adorable, I can’t.😍😍😍
  • JONY J is the director of the rap record label known as SHOOC. He is known as “the hip-pop poet.”
  • I love when Lisa speaks her home language, it just flows so beautifully.
  • I love that the mentors get to sit and talk with the trainees first instead of just starting off by judging their performances. This is different from other audition shows I have watched.
  • Lmao, I live for the hilarious edits in Chinese variety shows.
  • Lol, the independent trainee, Jue Chen, gave very straightforward responses that made everyone feel very awkward. I like her.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • Esther Yu. I know her from the Chinese drama Find Yourself.
  • I don’t know the Chinese companies, but all the girls are beautiful, and I am excited to see their performances.
  • Awww, KUN is so considerate. He actually asked them to stop and make sure that LISA could understand what everyone was saying. I like him.😍😍😍
  • Hmmm, seeing them eating dinner is making me hungry. I guess it’s time to visit my kitchen.
  • Chinese variety shows are always so cringy with their product placements.
  • Yes, now the audition begins, and we are going to get performances from each mentor.
  • Lisa did great. At first, I wasn’t really feeling her performance, but once she started dancing to “Attention” by Charlie Puth, I felt the heat.
  • Excellent stage presence and she is also an impressive dancer. So I believe these ladies will learn a lot from her.img_4266
  • Who’s next??
  • Okay, JONY J. I love his flow, and the song is perfect. He is performing his own song – “My Man”
  • The lyrics are touching. This song is, for sure, going on my playlist.
  • I got goosebumps from his performance. He will be a great mentor for these ladies.img_4267
  • Up next is Ella. She is performing her own song – “How Old Are You”
  • Her voice is beautiful, she sounds like a calm flowing stream. The mentors keep on giving me goosebumps, and this song is also going on my playlist.
  • This is one of the things I appreciate audition programs for. I get to discover new music.
  • Ella will definitely be a great vocal coach for the girls.img_4268
  • It’s KUN’s turn now. His stage is way upbeat than the rest, and he is performing his own song – “Young”
  • He is a great performer, a good dancer, and I love his energy. He really hypes the crowd.
  • He was once a former trainee on the show, so the girls will see him as a success story that inspires them to work harder towards their dreams.img_4269
  • Alright, now it is the trainees’ turn to perform. They have to compete on stage to get a rating between A to F.
  • l like that have everyone’s name on screen when they speak or sing. That way, my brain doesn’t have to work to so hard.
  • The first group – TOV Entertainment Vs. LIONHEART: The TOV group did great. I love their energy, and they are also good dancers. The mentors gave them constructive feedback.
  • The trainee from LIONHEART is cute. I love her deep tone, but she seemed out of breath a lot. Maybe she was nervous.
  • The mentors also noticed that she was nervous and not too used to singing and dancing at the same time.
  • Lol, Ella is too playful.
  • Their ratings – Kelly Lin from LIONHEART got a C | TOV Entertainment – Marco Lin got a C, Hazel Chen also got a C, and K Lu got a B.
  • I think their rating was befitting to the performances they showed.
  • I am enjoying Youth With You 2Β so far.
  • I will check out part 2 of episode 1 later today.

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 10 – FINALE

I am back from my long break. I had to wash my hair, eat and relax a little.Β Now it is time to watch the finale –Screenshot (218)

  • Okay, so the housemates will have to call whoever they want to confess to.
  • Final date between Willliam and Kai Wen. I feel Kai Wen is now more comfortable around him.
  • The episodes keep getting longer and longer. I just realized this one goes on for two hours. I mean, I understand that it is the finale but WOW.
  • I think Zheng Xuan has come to the realization that he might not be getting a confession from anyone.
  • Awww Kai Wen, do not cry.
  • Fair enough for Qi Jun and William to shake hands. The competition is about to end, so they can be friends.
  • Love the heart to heart conversation going on in this episode.
  • Awww Qi Jun was so cute during his ten minutes conversation with Kai Wen. He was stuttering.
  • This episode is quite emotional. I really wish all the housemates could end up with someone.😒😒
  • Only Chen Yi Chen gets to meet up with three ladies. He might seem lucky to some, but he is not happy about this situation. At least he was more straightforward during his conversation with Wu Pei.
  • Poor Wu Pei. She is actually crying. I am so sad 😞, but I like how she handled the conversation. You did your best, Wu Pei.
  • I love how Wu Pei and Zhang Tian both wished Chen Yi Chen the best regardless of who he picks as his final choice.
  • What Victoria said about wanting Yi Chen to make a decision and not evade is interesting. I felt that Yi Chen had to step back because he does not seem ready for commitment, but now I kind of understand how making a decision could help him. Maybe that could be his first move towards growth.
  • I will admit that the continuous pursuit from Zhengru, Wu Pei and William was kind of frustrating at some point, but I also admire their courage to go heads on for what they want. Regardless of what the outcome might be, they decided to remain positive. So kudos to them for that.πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ
  • I love their energy during the last dinner. At least they joked around a little.
  • Confession Time –Β
  • The panel has to write than their predictions as usual. LOL, these people are killing me hereπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. They are so funny.
  • First Up is William. First of all, he looks great in that suit, and I know that he will call Kai Wen, but I have a strong feeling she will not accept his confession.
  • And, of course, he called Kai Wen. I love that he does not pressure her but rather assures her of his support no matter who she chooses.
  • Next up is Qi Jun.Β He is for sure going to call Kai Wen, and he might be receiving a callback.
  • Yes, he called Kai Wen. He is crying, and I am so sorry for laughing at first. I know how emotional such a moment can be, but I just did not expect him to start crying. Awww Jun Jun.
  • πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I cannot deal with this panel. Please, can I have all members back for a third season? They are so hilarious.🀣🀣🀣🀣
  • Ooooh, it is time to see who Kai Wen calls. I feel she is going to call Jun Jun, but what about my dear William. Okay… πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯ – Yessss, I knew it. She chose Qi jun. I knew she held more affections for him.Screenshot (236)
  • I feel bad for William, but he gave his best till the end. So no regrets. I sincerely hope that he finds someone perfect for him. Good luck, William.
  • Next up is Zheng Xuan.Β HeΒ called Zhengru, but I know she will end up calling Chen Yi Chen.
  • Oh Damn, she just refused him straight up. Wow, that was hard to watch. I feel hurt.
  • No worries, Zheng Xuan. You will meet your perfect half someday.Screenshot (238)
  • And of course, Zhengru called Yi Chen. My gut tells me that she will not be getting a call back from him.
  • Awww it is Wu Pei’s turn. I really love her, and even though she might not get a call back from Yi Chen, I know she will be alright.
  • Β Now unto Zhang Tian, who I know will definitely call Chen Yi Chen and also has the highest possibility of receiving a call back from him.Β Yes, I was right. She called Yi Chen.
  • Finally, it is time for Yi Chen to step forward. This show is so dramatic, I know he does not have a car but did they really have to make him runπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Anyways Yi Chen called… πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯ – ZHANG TIAN.Screenshot (246)
  • Yi Chen’s call to turn down Wu Pei’s confession was more heartfelt than when he rejected Zhengru. I feel he definitely connected with her, but just not in a romantic way. I wish they could still be friends. All the best to Wu Pei. Screenshot (240).png
  • I adore everyone that participated in this second season of Heart Signal. So I wish happiness to every single housemate.
  • HAHAHA HAHAHA, Poor Chao Yue guessed it all wrong. She was actually crying.
  • And of course, Zheng Kai is the champion for this season. He had the most heart signal stones by the end of the show. CongratulationsπŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰Screenshot (243).png
  • Oh WOW, the cast and panel actually got to meet. YESSS, I was really hoping for this. But where are the other four housemates?
  • Rainie is cute. She is so excited about meeting her Jun Jun in person.
  • It is nice to know that the housemates stay in touch even after the show ended.Screenshot (247).png

Final Thoughts:Β

The panel members really made this show for me. The interactions between them were exciting and cute. Their discussions and commentaries were very insightful. They had a lot of hilarious moments. Zheng Kai’s comedic timing was perfect. Also, his continuous bickering with Victoria was always fun to see. Chao Yue was savage and on point with all her commentaries. I related with her energy on a spiritual level. Rainie was so cute with how she awed at all the romantic and thoughtful moments between the housemates. Du Hai Tao did a really fantastic job as the host. He was able to get everyone engaged in ongoing discussions. Liu Xuan was also an excellent addition to this season. He really had a lot of educative inputs that helped the panel and viewers better understand the behaviour of the housemates.

Concerning the show itself, I do have a few regrets. Personally, I think they wasted way too much time on dramatizing the situation-ships in the house. There was not enough one on one meetings between housemates, but instead, we got a lot of awkward and intense triangle moments.

All the same, I truly enjoyed watching this show. I think Heart Signal allowed all the housemates to know more about themselves by interacting with others. And I am glad that some housemates showcased growth by the end of the show. I hope they hold on to all the lessons learned from this little experience and apply them whenever the need arises. This has been a journey. I really want to follow up with the cast to know how they are doing currently because I got attached to everyone.

I hope you all enjoyed watching it as well. Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comment section, and if anyone still needs the link to the English subbed episodes of this show, here it is:Β Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version) on Viki

Until my next post, take care. πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 9

The housemates will be going on their last date in this episode, so let us see how things go down –

  • I wish they coupled them up based on who the housemates regularly text, but I guess they want to give everyone an opportunity.
  • The location for Yi Chen and Zhengru’s date is beautiful.
  • Their time together was fun, but I honestly do not think Yi Chen is the right person for Zhengru. Yes, they laugh a lot together, but their conversations are always on the surface or just focused on him. Nothing really in-depth, like when she is with Zheng Xuan. This is just my observation.
  • I really admire how straightforward Zhengru is. She came out straight and told Yi Chen that by trying to please everyone and keeping things in balance, he has already hurt the person who keeps waiting for his attention.
  • At this point, Yi Chen is still in the process of maturing into being his true self, so I personally feel that a relationship might not be the best option now. He needs to work on himself more.
  • Next is Wu Pei and Zheng Xuan. This is also their second date together.
  • I am with Chao Yue. I love that Zheng Xuan is straightforward. No need to pretend, just say how you feel and move on.
  • The locations they arranged for the dates are stunning. I would love to visit every single one. Screenshot (228)Screenshot (229)
  • Even though Wu Pei and Zheng Xuan did not get to go out with the person they had hoped for, they were still cordial and genuinely had fun.
  • Hmmm, Bungee jumping. I cannot swim, so I do not know how to feel when being thrown over a large pool of water. If it was just the height, I could manage, but height plus a river is a no-no until I learn how to swim.
  • Wu Pei is so amazing. She is always present and attentive no matter who she goes out with. She is a great person to hang out with.
  • HAHA HAHAHA, Rainie switches camps so much –
  • Zheng Xuan keeps scoring points because of how thoughtful he is.
  • I absolutely loved Wu Pei ad Zheng Xuan’s date. Very casual and relaxing.Screenshot (230).png
  • So among all the housemates, William is the only one who went on a date with the person he wanted.
  • Zhang Tian and Qi Jun are next. I am dying to see how this goes.
  • Ooo, I miss doing tie-dye. I majored in visual arts during high school, so it was something I had to learn.
  • Okay, back to the show. Zhang Tian and Qi Jun’s date was okay, they are so not interested in each other, but they had funny moments together. I just wish they were more open to having fun instead of only talking about who interests them in the Signal House.
  • LOL, Chao Yue killed me when she said, “A good job is not easy to find… A boyfriend can be found anytime”. She kind of has a point, but I feel there should be a balance when you are fully ready to settle down.
  • πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ The conversation on if the boyfriend is dirt poor and has charisma is TOO funny. I let out yet another sarcastic comment _Β “who will his charisma help… will I eat charisma for breakfast?”
  • This does not mean I base everything on money, it honestly depends on the situation and why my partner is suddenly financially incapable. But on a serious note, I have to see him put in some effort. Basically, do not just sit down and be lazy at home and expect me to do everything because I love you. NO, I CANNOT LIVE LIKE THAT.
  • Okay, it is time for William and Kai Wen’s date.
  • William definitely looks younger in casual clothes.
  • William and Kai Wen’s date was cute. Also, I really like what he said about them not becoming distant just because she likes someone else. They could still be friends. William is such a nice guy. He has shown significant growth throughout his stay in the Signal House.Screenshot (231)
  • Texting Result –Screenshot (233).png

– Zhang Tian, Wu Pei and Zhengru all texted Yi Chen.

– William and Kai Wen sent text messages to each other.

– Qi Jun sent a text to Kai Wen.

– Zheng Xuan sent a text to Wu Pei.

– Yi Chen sent a text to Zhengru.

  • I was really disappointed that Yi Chen did not stand his ground, but okay. Also, Wu Pei still stubbornly chose Yi Chen, OKAY NEXT EPISODE PLEASE.πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Just one episode left.

I get to see the last confession. I can see a lot of crying faces in the preview for episode ten. This has been a journey, and I am really anticipating how it will end. Screenshot (235).png

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 8

Watching shows can be really tiring.Β  They are exciting, but I get so drained from staring at my laptop for a long time. Anyways, I am determined, so here are my thoughts on episode eight of Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version).

  • Zheng Kai is so extra. I live for his momentsπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Also, his bickering with Victoria is a nice plus for me.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚Screenshot (210).pngScreenshot (213).png
  • The situation-ship between Yi Chen, Zhang Tian and Zhengru brings so many emotions for me. Sometimes, it annoys me. Other times, it frustrates me, but in this episode, it amuses me. I am honestly over all of them at this point.
  • So I noticed that they refer to Zhengru as Pearl a lot in the show, so I might just start calling her Pearl.
  • I love Pearl’s coat.
  • I admire Pearl’s boldness.
  • As for Chen Yi Chen, I understand his personality, but I am going to need him to start setting up some boundaries to prevent misunderstandings.
  • AWWW, that is so nice of Zheng Xuan. He is actually baking a cake for Pearl’s birthday. So sweet.
  • Lol Zheng Xuan and his sister are so cute. Classic sibling relationship.
  • The cheesy lines in this show are just something else. I get chills.
  • The edits for Heart Signal 2 are exciting and fun.
  • So this episode shows more moments between Yi Chen and Zhang Tian.
  • Okay, I am still not used to calling her Pearl, so I’ll just switch back to Zhengru and be consistent with it. I love that all the housemates came together to celebrate her birthday. Almost everyone in the house brought their own little contribution and gift. Nice.
  • Zheng Xuan is so thoughtful.
  • LOL, even the panel cannot deal with how cheesy the housemates are –Screenshot (205)Screenshot (217)
  • Can someone give me a music box as a present also? I suddenly want one
  • Finally, Yi Chen admits that he is not good at saying no. I understand the struggle of wanting to please everyone. But dear, what do you want? Yi Chen has to pick one or pick none. That is the only way to have his peace of mind. Qi Jun gave him the best advice.
  • I love how the panel touched on what might have caused Yi Chen to develop the habit of trying to please everyone. Personally, I feel with age and experience, such a trait can be outgrown. Life will make him understand that he can never please everyone, no matter how hard he tries.
  • I have a perfect slang for Yi Chen. It is πŸ‘‰πŸΌΒ “I cannot come and kill myself,” meaning I do as I can, and I will always do what gives me peace of mind. I live and embrace this slang daily.
  • Yesss, Zhengru is finally paying attention to Zheng Xuan. I love how open and straightforward they were during the date. They could also be a solid pairing, but who knows?Screenshot (219).png
  • Β I love the panel’s discussion about ageing. The different viewpoints are quite impressive to hear.
  • Oh nice, the housemates will be going on a travel date.
  • The ladies get to pick a first and second choice for who they would like to go on a date with andΒ the panel has to guess it.
  • Here are the panel’s predictions:Screenshot (221).pngScreenshot (220).pngScreenshot (222).png
  • Final result – Screenshot (223).png
  • Zhang Tian’s second choice was quite shocking, but I think she chose Qi Jun to avoid any kind of conflict or jealousy from Yi Chen.
  • Lmao, I was just as shocked as the panel members when Wu Pei’s second choice was revealed. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE? 😲😲 I assumed her second choice would be William.
  • The ads are so random and out of place. I feel they could have left all the advertising for the hosts and just let the segment in the Signal House flow naturally.
  • WOW, this is actually the last date. I really want to see how it goes.
  • The location for Wu Pei and Zheng Xuan’s date is quite stunning.Β I would love to try that shouting fountain. Sign me up.

I love the deep conversation that went down in this episode. It was very insightful, I truly enjoyed watching. Now I am excited to see how the other dates turn out. See you all tomorrow with the remaining episodes.Screenshot (224).png

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 7

I have been seriously contemplating whether to continue my recap for this show or just watch the remaining episodes on my own. But since I already started, it is only fair that I keep posting.

I plan on watching two episodes today and then finishing the rest tomorrow.

So it is time to let you all know my thoughts on theΒ seventh episodeΒ ofΒ Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version). I hope that this episode shows some significant development because I am getting tired of watching almost all the ladies go after one person.Β Screenshot (201)

  • I missed the jovial panel. So happy to be watching again.
  • I have a better understanding of Chen Yi Chen’s predicament now. He wants to follow his heart, but at the same time, he is worried about hurting the other two ladies.
  • My advice for him will be to call both Wu Pei and Zhengru individually and have a good and straight forward conversation with them. Do not just drop hints, let them know straight up but politely that you are not interested in them like that. As an introvert, I can really relate with his fear of not wanting to hurt their feelings, but at some point, the truth has to be said.
  • Great advice from Yi Chen’s friend.πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ
  • What the panel said about being single for a long time is very accurate. But I also believe that when you are emotionally ready and have the right partner by your side, things will flow naturally.
  • This show has a good selection of background music.
  • LOL, I just gave out the most sarcastic comment. Zhengru walks in and clearly, sees Yi Chen cooking, but she still goes ahead to ask him if he is cooking. And what came out from my mouth was, “No, he is not cooking, he is frying himself.”Β πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  • William is so cute. He is my favourite housemate. Also, for some reason, I feel William and Yi Chen could be good friends.
  • I wish everyone could pair up with someone by the end of the show. But all the same, I sincerely hope that all the housemates get to meet their perfect half someday.
  • Zhengru….. He invited only you for a reason, why are you taking plus two on your outing with Zheng Xuan?
  • The banter between the panel members makes this show even better.
  • I think it will be very disrespectful to Yi Chen if all these girls are only coming after him because of his looks. I hope that is not the case because even as a viewer, I can see that there is more to him than just being handsome and tall.
  • William is a good catch, but I feel he does not really connect much with any of the ladies in the Signal House.
  • With the question of would you force it or let nature take its course? – Personally, I always try my best at first, but once I notice that the other party is not putting in the same effort, I casually take a step back and just let nature take its course. I cannot continuously give attention to someone who refuses to reciprocate.
  • The panel made good points today. Do not date someone solely because they are kind, it does not last, and I know from my personal experience. Ask yourself the most crucial question – do you like this person? OR are you attracted to them in any way?
  • I just noticed that I have not seen much of Wu Pei this episode.
  • Β Zheng Kai’s victory shout after winning the bet on who Zhengru was going to text was so hilarious.
  • Texting Result –Screenshot (203).png

– Chen Yi Chen and Zhang Tian texted each other.

– Kai Wen and Qi Jun texted each other.

– Zhengru and Zheng Xuan texted each other.

– William sent a text to Kai Wen.

– Wu Pei sent a text to Yi Chen.

  • This episode seemed like a filler. There was not much one on one interactions, but I still enjoyed watching.

The preview for episode eight promises a lot of exciting moments. So I am looking forward to it.

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 6

For this episode, the girls will be taking charge of the dates. I am excited to see how things turn out.

Screenshot (171)

  • I love the cafe that Wu Pei chose for her date with Yi Chen. I am not the biggest fan of pets, but I admit that the concept of having a pet cafe is cute.
  • I still feel that Yi Chen is not suited for Wu Pei. He likes her as a person, but there is nothing more than that coming from him. Yes, they have things in common, and they do get along well. But if his heart is not fully there, then what is the point?
  • If Yi Chen was really interested in Wu Pei, then I will be all for it because she is a charming and genuine person.
  • I love that Wu Pei has become more straight forward recently. It is a great character trait, but it can also hurt her if she does not get the desired results. All the same, Wu Pei and Yi Chen’s date was lovely.img_1274Screenshot (177)
  • The difference is so evident when Yi Chen is with Zhang Tian. He becomes more attentive and interactive. That shows that his interest is there, and he is fully present.
  • Zhang Tian and Yi Chen’s date wasΒ fitting for them. They are adorable together.Screenshot (183)Screenshot (179)Screenshot (184)
  • At the beginning of the show, I was more focused on pairing the housemates up. But recently, I have decided to lay back and just see how everyone progresses.Β I want to look at everything that happens with a more open mind.
  • Kai Wen looked really good in this episode. She and Qi Jun are cute and comfortable with each other. The interactions during their date felt very natural. Screenshot (186).pngScreenshot (188).pngScreenshot (187)
  • Kai Wen and Qi Jun’s date might actually be my favourite. It gave off a very relaxing vibe. They were not trying too hard, but rather just enjoying their time together.
  • Side Talk based on Qi Jun and Kai Wen’s conversation – A lot of people cannot be alone, they always feel the need to be attached to someone. That someone might be a friend or their partner. For sure, spending time with others is terrific if you are with the right crowd, but I think it is also good to learn how to be comfortable with being alone for a while. Most notably, with relationships, because most people act like being single for a few weeks is going to kill them.
  • Anyways, this entire episode was full of memes because of the reactions from the panel members. They were tormented with all the sweet moments.

  • Damn, I cannot believe Zhengru did not choose Huang Zheng Xuan. Why do they all go for someone who is clearly not available? So now what happens to William and Zheng Xuan?
  • Victoria’s laugh from winning the bet on who Zhengru was going to choose for her date took me outπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. She now has five heart signal stones.
  • For anyone wondering, the heart signal stones are awarded to members of the panel if they make the right predictions for the text messages.
  • Yi Chen was also very interactive on his date with Zhengru, and I love the first place she took him to. It was stunning, and now I want to go somewhere similar.Screenshot (195)
  • Zhengru is really cute and funny. I understand her worries about being the last person to enter the house and feeling like she is now interfering with already set connections.
  • Β I think the main reason why three out of the four girls are into Yi Chen is not just because he is good looking but also because he is attentive, gentle and laid back. So maybe that makes him very easy to get along with. This is just my guess.
  • Also, Yi Chen is in a tight spot. By the end of all three dates, he looked drained and conflicted. I guess being liked by so many people has put pressure on him, but he needs to decide fast instead of going along with all three ladies.
  • Texting Results – Screenshot (197).png

– Zhang Tian, Wu Pei and Zhengru all texted Yi Chen.

– Yi Chen sent a text message to Zhang Tian.

– Kai Wen and Qi Jun sent text messages to each other.

– William sent a text to Kai Wen.

– Zheng Xuan sent a text to Zhengru.

  • Seriously at this point, the love triangle and love pentagon going on are becoming tiring to watch.Screenshot (198)Screenshot (199)

This episode seemed way longer than usual, but it was really insightful. I have four episodes left, and at this point, I am not really concerned about who ends up together. I just want to see how they all grow as the show progresses.

That is all for this post. The English subbed version of this show is accessible with this link:Β Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version) on Viki

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 5

It is time to let you all know my thoughts on the fifth episode of Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version). Let us see how the new housemate shakes things up.

Screenshot (99)

  • Jia Lun is not on the panel for this episode.
  • I really love Wu Pei’s new haircut. She is so pretty.
  • Wu Pei, Zhang Tian and Kai Wen all have different fashion styles, but they are all equally pretty and elegant.
  • Girl’s hangout – while talking about their dates with the boys, I could definitely tell that Zhang Tian was marking her territory. She wanted the other ladies to know that she and Yi Chen are a perfect pair. There were a lot of subtle remarks going on between her and Wu Pei. I liked how Wu Pei replied to all of Zhang Tian’s attempts to markdown Yi Chen as her own. No one should be put down for loving someone younger. It is not a crime.Screenshot (169).png
  • I find it funny that they sent the boys on a secret date with the new girl. Might as well be discreet to avoid tension from the current ladies in the house.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚img_1268
  • We have a new housemate – Pan Zhengru (Pearl). She is beautiful and has a really soft voice. She is an event planner. I think all the housemates have great jobs. The meeting between her and the boys started out very quiet and awkward, but thankfully Zheng Xuan was able to start up a conversation, and others joined in at some point.img_1271img_1269
  • Victoria and Zheng Kai are so cute. I live for their funny moments together on the panel.
  • The adverts thrown in between the show are awkwardly placed, and they feel even more out of place when the housemates do it.
  • Zhang Tian was really on the defence in this episode. The girl is making sure that no one takes her manπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. But I feel the main reason why Yi Chen is not as enthusiastic as before is because of her previous movie date with Zheng Xuan.
  • When they decided that the loser of the game was going to play truth or dare, I was internally screaming NOOOOOO, PLEASE DO NOT. Truth or Dare is a dangerous game.
  • Anytime Wu Pei is on screen, I cannot help but stare at her eyes. I do not know why, LOL.
  • Β Zhengru’s answer during the game shows that she is willing to open up about her weaknesses but also works on improving herself. Also, I feel that Zheng Xuan might be interested in her
  • Β My predictions for this episode’s texts were as follows –

– Yi Chen and Zhang Tian will send text messages to each other.

– Zhengru and Zheng Xuan will also send text messages to each other.

– Wu Pei will send a text message to Yi Chen.

– Qi Jun will definitely send a text message to Kai Wen.

– William will also send a text message to Kaiwen.

– Hmm, Kai Wen is a difficult one. I feel she might text William.

  • Okay, so there is a new rule concerning the sending of text messages. Apparently, the housemates can only send messages but will not receive any. I am still a bit confused about how this rule will work, but this decision was made to help reduce the pressure.
  • The panel’s predictions were the same as mine.
  • Final Result – Screenshot (173).png

– Yi Chen and Zhang Tian sent text messages to each other.

– Zhengru and Zheng Xuan sent text messages to each other.

– Wu Pei sent a text to Yi Chen.

– Qi Jun and Kai Wen sent text messages to each other.

– William sent a text to Kaiwen.

  • Kai Wen keeps on confusing me. Her signals are weird.
  • I have said this many times already, but here I go again. William and Wu Pei need to change their strategy.

It seems the ladies get to asks the guys out on dates for the next episodes. I am kind of excited about that. Also, the love triangles are about to get even more heated than before. Screenshot (175)Screenshot (176)That is all I have for this post, loves. The English subbed version of the show is available with this link:Β Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version) on Viki

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 4

Here are my thoughts on the fourth episode of Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version):

  • We still have Jia Lun on the panel, so that means he is a permanent addition.
  • Huang Zheng Xuan and Zhang Tian really do get along well. Right from when he first entered the house, they started chatting very quickly. Yi Chen will have to put in more effort from now on because Zheng Xuan is coming on strong.
  • This show can be quite awkward to watch because of the tension between the male housemates. Of course, we always had William Vs. Qi Jun to deal with, but now it looks like Yi Chen and Zheng Xuan are also at that stage. These men need to calm down because my heart and eyes cannot take these awkward situations any longerπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.Screenshot (95)
  • It was lovely of Qi Jun to wait for Kai Wen before eating. Good move, he has definitely stepped up his game. Now can someone please help my sad babies, Yi Chen and WilliamπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.
  • So it looks like in this episode, they were given the freedom to go out with whoever they want. Nice
  • The casts of the panel are always on point with their comments. I agree with what Raine said about Kai Wen, she seems to fit well with both William and Qi Jun. In the end, it will all depend on who she chooses, but I feel she likes Qi Jun more. I also agree with what they said about blending the personalities of both guys to create the perfect balance of approach towards Kai Wen.
  • LOL, everyone on the panel is so funny, but as I mentioned in my last post, Zheng Kai just gets me with his commentary and jokes all the time.
  • Thank you, Wu Pei, for helping William, and Yi Chen relax a little. Honestly, Wu Pei is a gem. She sings and plays the ukelele so beautifully. I really wish she and William could go for each otherπŸ˜₯.
  • Text Messaging Results – Screenshot (96)

– Qi Jun and Kai Wen texted each other.

– William texted Kai Wen.

– Wu Pei sent a text to William.

– Chen Yi Chen sent a text to Wu Pei.

– Zhang Tian sent a text to Chen Yi Chen.

– Huang Zheng Xuan sent a text to Zhang Tian.

  • I expected some of the results, so it was not too surprising to me.

This episode was definitely intense. There were a lot of awkward moments and jealousy hovering around the Signal House. From the preview, I can see that Wu Pei has a new look, and I love it.Screenshot (97)

Also, the next episode will have a new housemate to add more heat. I am looking forward to that because I know thatΒ IT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWNπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.Screenshot (99).png

That is it for this post. Take care, everyoneπŸ’•πŸ’•.

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 3

Hello, HelloπŸ€—

I am back with my thoughts on the third episode ofΒ Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version). It is time to find out who that mystery man is and what he has to offer.

img_0359

  • So we have an extra panellist. According to Viki’s subtitles, he is a guest. I wonder if he is going to be a permanent addition because we need someone to keep balance with the number of housemates in the Signal House. So our new panellist is Jia Lun.img_0696
  • Our new housemate is Huang Zheng Xuan. My first impression – He seems to be easy-going and relaxed. He is also confident and easily adapts with his new environment. img_0699
  • Zheng Kai is honestly so silly. Him trying to imitate Zheng Xuan was so hilarious.
  • Kai Wen is always so smiley. I love that about her, but I must admit that it confuses me sometimes. I cannot pinpoint who exactly she is going for because she seems pretty okay with both William and Qi Jun.
  • If I were to go on a date, I would start with what William and Wu Pei did. Basically, outdoor activity and then lunch or dinner depending on the time. Then I would go on a boat ride just like Yi Chen, and Zhang Tian did.
  • So definitely my favourite dates were that ofΒ  – William & Wu Pei andΒ Yi Chen & Zhang Tian.
  • I will always say this – Yi Chen and Zhang Tian are already a fixed couple to me. They are cute, adorable and very fitting for each other, so there is not much to discuss for them. I loved how simple, romantic and relaxing their date was.
  • William and Wu Pei actually seem like a good match. They are both around the same age and seem to understand each other. I never really pictured them together, but I do see a possibility if they try.
  • The other two dates were okay, but I have do not have much to say about them.
  • So my predictions for this episode’s texts were as follows –

– Yi Chen and Zhang Tian will definitely send text messages to each other.

– Qi Jun and Kai Wen will also send text messages to each other.

– Zheng Xuan will send a text to Wu Pei.

– William might stubbornly still send a text to Kai Wen.

– Wu Pei might text WilliamΒ (fingers crossed on this one).

  • The actual results –img_0716

Β – Yi Chen and Zhang Tian texted each other.

– Qi Jun and Kai Wen also texted each other.

– William sent a text to Wu Pei.

– Zheng Xuan and Wu Pei texted each other.

  • I am glad that William texted Wu Pei, but I am sad that he did not get a textπŸ˜₯. I seem to have a soft spot for William recently. He is a great guy, so he just needs to meet someone who truly understands him.
  • Also, I really love William’s message to Wu Pei. He said, “life is short, why not be greedy sometimes?”. That really says a lot because, as an introvert, I understand what he means. Sometimes we give up so much for others and end up neglecting our own desires. Now that is not to say that we should go overboard and feed into all our desires but simply just learn to maintain the right balance between personal satisfaction and pleasing others.
  • Finally, Wu Pei is on a good comeback with two text messages in this episode. Good for her.

I am really looking forward to what the next episodes will bring, and I also know that we are going to have another female housemate to equal them out.

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 2

Hello everyone.

I am back with my thoughts on the second episode of Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version). This is going to be a short post, so let us get right into it.

img_0339

  • Qi Jun was a bit frustrating in the first few minutes of this episode. I know he meant well, but the tension between him and William was just unbearable to watch. Yes, it was kind of him to help Kai Wen prep dinner, but once William got into the kitchen, he should have just left.
  • Currently, in the Signal house, the cooking period seems to be the only time they get to be alone with their person of interest without interference from other housemates. So to me, him being all up in their space was quite unfair. I know that he was trying to fill up the water jar, but still, the whole situation was awkward to watch.
  • William really caught my attention in this episode. I watched this with a friend and every time he gave those “smart remarks,” we laughed so hard. I can definitely see his effort to connect more with the other housemates, most notably, Kai Wei.Β He is more relaxed now but still the confident Wiliam from episode one. Good for him πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.
  • In this episode, we got to know the occupation and age of each housemate, a few were surprising for me, but the majority of them were expected.
  • I really thought that Kai Wen would be a student, and I was not expecting Chen Yi Chen to be the youngest in the house.
  • At this point, no one can tell me that Chen Yi Chen and Zhang Tian are not going to be a couple by the end of the show. I can see stars shooting out of their eyes whenever they see each other. And anyone who stays in between their conversations just seems out of place. They are too cute for words πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–
  • So far, I love all the panellists for this season. Yang Chao Yue is definitely my favourite. Her comments are always so real, unfiltered and funny.img_0350
  • Texting Results:img_0340–Β Chen Yi Chen and Zhang Tian texted each other.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  – Wu Pei texted Chen Yi Chen but did not receive a text from anyone.

Β  Β  Β  Β  Β  – William and Zhan Qi Jun both texted Yang Kai Wen, but only William got a text back from her.

  • I felt sad for Wu Pei. I honestly do not want her to feel burdened by the fact that she is the oldest in the house. I do not think that her age is the reason for her not receiving a text. Because from what I have seen so far, she is yet to really connect with anyone in the house. She is a nice and capable lady, so there is nothing to worry about.
  • Also, it is the second night, and Qi Jun has not received a text. Not good, not good at all.
  • Anyways, it looks like we are going to be having a seventh housemate to stir up some drama. I LIKEπŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‚ , but he better not try to sink my shipsπŸ˜’.

That is all I have to say about episode two.Β I am about to watch episode three now, so I might be making a new post very soon. I am really looking forward to the upcoming dates and the mystery man.img_0359

Heart Signal 2 (Chinese Version): My thoughts on Episode 1

Hello, beautiful people.

I know that I have not made a post for the past two weeks, sorry about thatπŸ™. I had weddings to attend, family gatherings and also friends to meet up with. Sometimes I wonder if anyone really cares when I go ‘MIA’πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but oh well.

So I just started watching the second season of Heart Signal (Chinese Version), and I wanted to share my thoughts on what I have seen so far. I plan to continue doing this for each episode I watch.

Now for those who have no idea what Heart Signal is, no worries, I got you.Β Heart Signal is originally a Korean variety show where six to eight strangersΒ live together in the same house for a month.Β The house is known as the Signal House. Basically, the primary purpose of the show is to discover if these six to eight individuals can find love and even build a relationship in the Signal House. Their mission is to send an anonymous text to the person they like every night. The show also has panellists with various experiences in dating and love. The people on the panel are placed in a separate studio where they can observe, comment and even attempt to predict the potential lovers in the Signal House.

I am not the biggest fan of reality shows because I know that not everything I get to see in the final cut is the real deal. A lot of editing has been done to make things look a certain way. But yet, I just have a soft spot for romance, so here I am😊😊.

So before I begin throwing out my thoughts, here is a formal introduction of the panellist and cast members for this season. There are six individuals on the panel and also six housemates in the Signal House.

(Pardon the picture quality, I just had to stick with screenshots).

Panellist:

Victoria Songimg_3892

Yang Chao Yueimg_3849

Zheng Kaiimg_3836

Rainie Yangimg_3889

Du Hai Taoimg_3846

Liu Xuanimg_3844

Signal House Cast:

Chen Yi Chenimg_3860

Zhan Qi Junimg_3861

Yang Kai Wenimg_3870

William / Wu Xiang Weiimg_3871

Wu Peiimg_3897

My Thoughts on Episode 1:

img_3898

  • My favourite moment is when Qi Jun tells Yi Chen that he is handsome. Yi Chen’s reaction was so funny and the way Qi Jun said it was what made that moment even more amusing to me. Here is a little clip of that moment.
  • So far, my favourite housemate is Chen Yi Chen.img_3902Β This is not just because he is handsome or because of his resemblance to Chen Kun, who happens to be one of my favourite actors. What I actually love about him is that, although he seems shy, he always says the right things at the perfect time. Timing is crucial in this show, and so far, he has that down. Also, I love how attentive he is. I am really rooting for him and Zhang Tian to be a couple at the end.
  • I love how confident William is, but I also feel that he needs to be a little bit more relaxed. Because so far, he comes off as someone who you cannot really connect with and is also very hard to approach. But from the previews, I see some improvement. So all the best to him.
  • Qi Jun is very straightforward, and I admire that. The only problem is that he is not the most attentive person in the room. This was very evident while he was cooking with Wu Pei. There were a lot of signals thrown at him, but Qi Jun was too focused on cooking and missed his chance to form a proper connection with her.
  • It was so awkward when all the guys were in the same room waiting for a text, and then all three ladies decided to text only Yi Chen. That was not fun to watch.
  • Among the girls, Wu Pei seems to be more straightforward. She was very comfortable once she entered the house. She had her eyes on Qi Jun and just went with it, but unfortunately, he could not keep her attention. I love her personality, and I wish I could be like her sometimes.
  • I will say I am more like Zhang Tian, the shy type, but I always find a way to make sure that the person I like stays in contact with me. Zhang Tian is definitely attracted to Yi Chen, and she did all her best to get Yi Chen’s attention. So far, she succeeded in getting a text from him on the first night, but who knows what might happen in the upcoming episodes.
  • Kai Wen has not really made an impression on me so far, but I hope to see more from her as the show progresses.

So that is all I have to say. Keep an eye out for my thoughts on Episode 2. That will be a much shorter post since I have already done all the necessary introductions in this post.Β Feel free to leave your predictions and thoughts on the housemates so far.
